The tour was very interesting. You not only got to taste a wide variety of amazing food, the very personable guide gave excellent restaurant recommendations and an informative overview of the history of Greenwich Village. Exceeded my expectations, I would certainly recommend the tour for local and visitors.

This tour was a highlight to our NYC trip. The food tasting was great and we really enjoyed the tour around the neighborhood. Our guide, Dave made it very enjoyable. I would surely do this again!

A great tour for people who hate tours!

We normally HATE tours because SO MUCH depends on how good your guide is! If you have a poor guide, you've wasted a precious day and money! We have friends that visit the city often and they recommended the tour. We were a bit reluctant but are SO GLAD we tried it! Our guide, Sephra, was great! She was funny, warm, and very knowledgable, and the food was delicous as well. We ate dinner at Palma that night then came back later that week to try LeGigot. Both were well worth it. The next time we come to NYC we want to try the Chelsea tour.

I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get a taste of the other side of New York away from the hustle and bustle. The tour guide was brilliant, an excellent sense of humour and the 3 hours flew by. All the food on the tour was excellent, we had a really good time. Thank you very much, Regards Breda, Elaine and Fionnuala

It could have been better w/ a better tour guide

The pace moved way to slow. It was a three hour tour that given the information we were given, it could have been done in an hour an 15 minutes. My husband was ready to leave after the 1st half hour. I kept thinking that it would get better, and that our guide would actually say something about the area other than watch out for cars, and don't crowd the sidewalks. They had to make changes the day of our tour, but rather than entertaining the group with some information about the area or a story or two, the group was basically left hanging around on the street twiddling thumbs. Three of the 6 places that we had tastings from, we were not even invited to go into them. We ended up eating on the street corner across the street. We were so dissapointed because our friends had gone on one of the other tours, of Greenwich/Soho and loved it. Their tour guide was funny and informative. Marie made alot of excuses and never really gave us any information on the area. Sorry, we don't even think that we are that picky of people.

I took my daughter with me and we had a great day together. The guide was engaging and very knowledgeable and extremely welcoming and warm. I will definitely make time on my next trip to NYC to sign up for another neighborhood trip. I have also told so many of my friends who frequent NYC - that it is a must do experience. It was a great way to introduce my daughter to something other than Broadway and major tourist sights in NYC. Thanks for offering this unique tour.

We very much enjoyed our tour with our guide, Curt, last Sunday. It was a perfect introduction to Greenwich Village and I will certainly spend much more time in the area on my next trip. I felt it was a nice mix of tastings and neighborhood history. Curt has a great, engaging personality, with a sense of humor that I felt made the tour even more fun. He adapted quickly when he learned that a planned stop wasn't open at the time (it was around noon on a Sunday), and I didn't feel that detracted from the tour at all. The tour introduced us to many interesting shops and restaurants that I look forward to visiting in the future. All of the employees at the businesses where we stopped were very welcoming and seemed pleased to have us in their establishments. This is a great way to spend a few hours in the city. It may not be as interesting to children (under 12). There was a pre- teen in our group who seemed a little bored, but Curt did a great job of including him. I will definately plan to do other tours with this company on my next trip.

Highlight of our short stay in New York

I live in Chicago, my daughter lives in London. We decided to meet in New York for a girls' weekend. The highlight of our trip was the Greenwich Food and Culture Tour. Our guide, Cindy, was hilarious, fun and informative. She made Greenwich come alive describing the people, their food and specialties as we walked from one establishment to another. We tasted food from pizza to risotto to the best oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. The three hour tour (we went over because we were such a fun group) was well worth it. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New York. Since the restaurants and food probably change with each tour this is something I would definitley do again!!!
