Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

I got a tip from a friend at work about this. She was really enthusiastic and I understand why now. We booked the original Greenwich tour. The guide was competent and made me smile the whole tour. The food was so good (!!!) and varied and throughout our visit we came back to the neighbourhood and many of the recomended restaurants. Lots of fun facts that you can't know unless you have lived as a local for quite some time. The whole tour was well planed. Nice walks, some rest for the feet and even restrooms. Everything you could possible come up with or could happen during the walk was covered. It was just pure pleasure. Definetly a must when visiting New York!

We were three sisters from Australia, found this tour on internet search and cannot recommend highly enough. Our guide's name was Marie a very pleasant ,knowledgible and interesting lady,who I think was a big part in making this tour so much fun . Three hours pass so quickly and the food tastings were delicious and plentiful. This was the best tour we took during our trip, value for money ,interesting history and truly an enjoyable way to see new sights. Three hours went by like ten minutes. We wished it were even longer. History of the various places was fascinating. The food wonderful, various, and fun. We are eager to return to the area and explore even more.

My mom and I did the Greenwich Village Food tour on May 17th and had a great time. Our guide Sephra was so funny and very knowledgeable of the neighborhood and the locations we visited. We stopped at 7 different places and were stuffed by the end of the tour! I would highly recommend this tour for people of all ages. We enjoyed it so much that I wish we had booked another tour with NY Food tours while we were there. We will definitely do that the next time we visit NY!

Mother (61) and daughter (23) both loved this tour. The range of food was very interesting, really tasty and enough to fill us until late evening. We were also taken to beautiful parts of the city we would never have found alone. Our guide, Cindy, was fantastic - so knowledgeable and entertaining. She kept us all interested, amused and educated throughout the tour, which was very well organised and great value for money. We returned to several of the food places to eat during the rest of our short break. I heard about it from a friend who had been on it and I have recommended it to everyone I have spoken to since coming home. If you are going to New York this is an essential experience.

Me and my daughter (18 years old) took part in the Greenwich Villige Food tour and were pleasantly surprised by the amount of information that was included about history and life in the Villige in addition to all the information about the food and the restaurants and shops. The tour was extremely interesting, very well organised, we had time with more tastings that I could have guessed and on timetable. I can highly recommend the tour to all kind of people and parties.

My friend and I went on this tour Friday afternoon, and we both loved it. Our guide Heather was very knowledgeable and well-known (and obviously well-liked) throughout the neighborhood. The tour was balanced between eating and history, and the amount of walking we had to do was very manageable, even for someone not in great shape. In fact, the standing around was way more tiring than the actual walking bit. The only complaint I have about our specific tour was there were 17 people, and that seemed like too many. It made it harder to "gather around" to hear Heather, and keeping a path for other tourists while eating and listening was kindof a pain with so many people. Overall, though, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend it both as a way to eat some great food and learn a bit about a quirky and cool neighborhood.

I cannot express enough how pleased we were with this tour. It was definitely the highlight of our trip. We did the west greenwich village tasting and cultural tour. Our guide was great, she was very imformative and made our excursion very pleasant even though we had inclement weather. It is a great way to explore an area of NYC, taste the foods of those cultures in the neighborhoods and see the true area. Had we done this tour at the beginning of our 5 day stay we would have definitely done a second one! I will definitely book one or more tours when I return to NYC!!

The tour is a must! My mom and I did this for mother's day and it was a great experience. The different tastings were amazing and our guide was very knowledgeable. Not only do you get to taste very authentic food, but you get a tour of the village and some little known facts. I would definitely recommend this tour:)
