Something different to do

We did not know what to expect but to our delight it was wonderful. We are from New Jersey and we do go to New York but I must confess not enough. When considering what to do beside going to a broadway show I stumbled on this sight and I am so glad I did. The tour was more than anticipated. We had and exceptional guide and the food was certainly plentiful. We can't wait to take another and are highly recomending it to friends and co-workers. Thankyou for a wonderful day.

Even better each time

This was our third time on this tour...bringing another visiting family member. Each time is a bit different depending on the guide, and about half of the foods differed from when we last took the tour about 18 months ago... so it is as if a new tour. All of the food delicious, and it was sometimes things we would not have tried on our own, and now we will. And the information on the tour about the history and architecture is just great. This is our second tour with Curt... and he is terrific. We will surely do this again next time we have out of town visitors.

Fun for all

This tour was a lot of fun. Our guide could not have been more welcoming or accomodating, she was just great. It was also nicely paced. The blend of food, history and culture provided something for everybody, but also kept the information at a relatively superficial level. I enjoyed it most when we got more in-depth info like the detailed description of how balsamic vinegar is made, and the history of Cherry Lane Theater. The booklet listing all the establishments will be very useful for future trips to the city. Thank you!

Highly recommend the food tour -- perfect for a couple, a group of friends, or for hosting out-of-town family/guest. It was an interesting, engaging, thoughtful, low-key, low-stress, casual afternoon activity.

We had one of the most pleasant days we've ever spent in NYC. Our tour guide Sefra was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. The food was fabulous, the tour so informative and the group dynamic lots of fun. We have told all our friends about our day and we plan to sign up for many more of the food and neighborhood tours.

Even a local loved the W. Village tour.

I've lived in NYC for two decades and found the W. Village food tour to be both fun and informative. Our guide, Sephra, was very charming, engaging and knowledgeable. The food stops along the tour were more than adequate. I'm looking forward to doing another tour soon.

An outstanding tour

Our tour guide, Curt, was worth the ticket price even if we never left out meeting place. I would highly recommend this tour, ask for Curt, to anyone. In fairness, I'll bet the the other tour guides are also special. The west Village is a unique neighborhood. The restaurants and others business are patronized by people who live there. Unlike the tourist areas, the establishment have to maintain value prices and service. I'm a born and breed New Yorker who cherishes his roots. This tour blew me away. Curt, our tour guide, was informative, clever and entertaining. The tour itself provided a great food experience. We had pizza from 2 areas of Italy. Canolli's, Gelato, Chocolate Chip cookies, Rissoto, Cheeses, Olives on and on.

A wonderful outing

This was a wonderful way to learn of the architecture, geography, culture and especially the local cuisine. Our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgable, friendly and professional. The six tastings provided a wonderful cross-section of foods available in this Greenwich village neighborhood. At the top of the list were Havana and LaPalma where we hope to return for an evening of dining. We were blessed with wonderful weather for the tour, which, I'm sure helps with the overall impression. Still, we went back the next day, which was gloomy and wet, and stopped at Murray's, Rocco's and Fiacco's, filling out trunk for the ride home. Loved the tour, would recommend to anyone (and already have). We look forward to trying another tour in a different neighborhood.
