We recommend the Greenwich Village Food Tour

My friend and I enjoyed the food tour very much. The information about the history and the current status of Greenwich Village was very interesting. We took this tour the last day of our vacation and wish that we had taken it earlier because we could have used our new knowledge about the area restaurants to make better choices for dining out. The foods that we sampled were delicious and just the right amount. Our guide was very knowledgeable and professional. When we return to the city next time, we plan to take your Chelsea Food Tour also.

We enjoyed the three hours of food tasting and exploring the village. We were so excited to taste the foods of the area as well as discover new restaurants. I will definitely return to the West Village to explore some more. My entire group raved about this tour for days.

This is the second time I've done this tour, and it was even better this time! Our guide was genuinely enthusiastic and very well informed, full of interesting local information and obviously a long time local of the area. The combination of history and delicious food sampling keeps both brain and body on the go, and 3 hours sped by. I would recommended this tour without hesitation to both visitors and New Yorkers alike.

We had a blast....our tour guide Kurt was so amazing...his knowledge, his sense of humor, his enthusiasm. It made the tour an awsome experience. We tried foods that I've never tried before. It was a great experience, I highly recommend this tour.

Should be called a sitting tour

Our guide was knowledgeable and energetic. I really think of this as a stitting tour. Not much geography covered. While the empty restauants (3) we sat in may have been interesting, the time spent was way too long and it seemed to just be time filler. Not a tour for foodies. The food was not special. Although the cheese store was great. All samples were located within a one block area--is that all there is? Finally, skip the turkish food at the end of the tour.

My husband, teenaged daughter and I took the tour on a Saturday afternoon. Even though it rained off and on, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Greenwich Village and highly entertaining. The food was great. We would have loved to try some of the places we visited after the tour was over, but we were too full, so we'll go back on our next visit. This is a great way to find out some of the best places to eat in the Village. My daughter said that this was one of the best things she's done in NYC - which is saying a lot.

Michael was an informative guide. His soft spoken voice though was difficult to hear as we were outside and the traffic and construction noises were happening. It was interesting to meet some of the local business people and walk the neighborhood to see the architecture and gardens. We had a beautiful day weatherwise and it was a pleasant way to see a part of New York City that we had not visited before.

This tour was well worth every penny-delicious food and a neighborhood rich in history! Our tour guide, Marie, was excellent-friendly and knowledgeable and the food we sample at local stores and restaurants was delicious. We had so much fun tasting local fare and learning more about Greenwich Village-can't wait to sign up for another tour the next time we come to New York City!

Each Foods of New York tour I have taken has been a wonderful experience, this latest being no exception. Every aspect of the tour is well planned, with all the shop and restaurant stops allowing ample time to both sample the food and take in the atmosphere. Also, the tour guides, in this cause, Barri and Bert, were knowledgable, approachable, and a lot of fun. They really make these tours worth taking.

My partner and I traveled to nyc to take in the sights and flavors of the city. We couldnt be happier with the result. We learned so much about the neighborhoods we felt like we were there when they were established. The tastings were a foodies delight and we went back to several during our stay and had meals there. A special thanks to our tour guide. She really knows her stuff. We would highly recommend this to anyone. Scott and Scott Sylvania, Ohio
