Don't set your expectations too high

Tour guide was excellent, although a bit over enthusiastic. His knowledge of the area, humor and continuous gossip made the tour "fun". The descriptions of the locations, shops, restaurants, etc were described as "the best in NYC" or "No. 1". As a person born in Brooklyn and a resident of this area for many years I accepted these claims with a large grain of salt. However, visitors to NYC for the first time as many in our group were are mislead. The tastings were for the most part, much too small to really be a true "tasting" and certainly don't represent the best in NYC I don't think that this tour really showed the great variety of good food available in this part of the city.

It was a very good tour and I would recommend it to everyone over 18. May not be interesting for teens.

We took this tour in the middle of our trip, but we should have done it the first day! We had a great time and finished the tour with a list of places we wished we had time to go back to.

What a great way to tour the Village! We sampled delicious food from seven restaurants and shops, and had a beautiful walk through the neighborhood with great stories and information about the buildings and their history from our tour guide, Barrie. Would highly recommend.

This tour was a nice intro to Greenwich Village, a gem neighborhood of NYC that's full of quaint and delicious restaurants, specialty shops, theaters and cool places to live. Our guide was friendly and informed, dropping in enough history and current culture to make the midday trek through the Village continually interesting. Plus, the " food tastings" were great!

I would highly recommend the Greenwich Village tour. We had a wonderful guide - Cindy - who was very knowledgeable about the area and did such a great job of conducting the tour. We had a kind of miserable day - cold, windy & rainy - but Cindy kept us smiling and laughing (and eating) throughout the tour. This is a must tour for anyone interested in Greenwich Village.

We were 6 people, some from NYC, others LI and CT. It was the redemption of a birthday gift for one couple and the other 4 decided to tag along. We were met by Heather and she promptly gave each of us water and asked if we needed a poncho. We learned about the neighborhood and found that the landmark info was particularly informative. The tastings were good and the pace easily managed. Because it was cold, we didn't take our free gelato. It was good when we stopped at a spot and were able to get in from the cool temperatures. I have told others about it and hope that some of these people will try it in the future. We will look into other tours of yours in the future.
