Highly recommended

We took the tour on one of the coldest days of the year (something like minus 8 - without allowing for the wind-chill factor), yet still had a great time. The food-tasting element is more low-key than expected (a couple of bits of pizza, a rice ball, an Italian pastry and some cheese) but the informative, enthusiastic and entertaining style of our guide (Michael) - covering architecture, history and local anecdote as well as food - made it a tour to remember. We were a group of four from London and while we sometimes shivered in the biting New York temperatures (making London seem almost balmy by comparison), this was a highlight of our trip. Well worth sampling - but try to pick a warm day!

This was a wonderful tour which was the highlight of our time in the city. Our tour guide Kurt, an aspiring actor/playwright, was just perfect. Besides getting stuffed to the brim with delicious samples, the other thing we loved was that Kurt, gave us so much info that will benefit us on every trip to New York. Not only will it save us a ton of money, but we know where to go in the Village for the best of everything! Can't wait to do a tour of a different area next time we're there. DON'T MISS IT!

The tour was very entertaining, with Kurt as our guide !! We not only tasted many different foods, but learning about some hidden gems of the Village was fancinasting!! Also learning about the Landmark area, that Jackie O had a hand in saving NYC history- and the stories about the Village- all of this was as deliocus as the food on the tour.

We very much enjoyed the entire tour. In fact, we returned to one of the recommended restaurants later in the week (Little Havana) Thank you.

We enjoyed the variety of the tour which encompassed not only Italian food varieties, but a guide to the various restaurants, a history of the areas and its buildings. The tour guide was well informed and enthusiastic and this came through in her good humoured and light hearted banter which kept our interest throughout.

I first went on this tour a couple years ago with a friend from Manhatten. I enjoyed it so much that I recently went again with a friend unfamiliar with Greenwich Village. I enjoyed it all over. My only slight criticism is that perhaps limiting the group to 10 would be more comfortable. (We were 15).

Good Eats and History in Greenwich

Our tour guide, Barri, was great. She showed she knows her food, the history of Greenwich ,and her job. All the samples were great. They were so great that my wife and I went back on our own on Monday. Unforunately we did not hit all the places we wanted to; but, we went to Rocco's and ate a great meal at a Italian Restruant down the street from Joe's. We also went back to the spice shop Barri took us to, and will be doing business by mail. The same Murray's and the Mediterranean Specialities. We will soon have some Basil Olive Oil being deliveried to our home. Bottom line it was a great tour, even better food, and a great guide. We will make sure weagain take the tour on next year's New York trip. George and Nancy Stefano

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The walk was just enough to help us appreciate the food and not too strenuous. Liked the historical references and architecture lessons. The food was generous and a good variety of snacks, desserts, and heartier fare like pizza. Amy was a great tour guide.

This tour of NYC's West Village had a most enjoyable and interesting combination of food and food tips, stories, history, and humor.
