| Michael was our guide. If you don't already see Greenwich Village as a community with a rich history, you won't remain that way for long. We enjoyed the insider view of Palma, Chumley's stories, and many other interesting anecdotes that Michael had to offer about the neighborhood he truly loves. Most stops were worthwhile, many were fun delicious and/or intriguing. Food was good (dieters need not apply).
We have two teenage sons and my husband works downtown. We live in the NJ suburbs but love NYC. This was a nice departure from a museum and a great way to spend time in the Village with our sons who aren't of legal drinking age (which precludes alot of the fun stuff with them.)
We felt fortunate to have Michael as our guide. We really appreciate the handout of great places to find delicious good food- we will definitely refer to it when making plans in the future. Thank you for a memorable outing. |

| We were in the Saturday 11:00am tour with Marie as our guide. I grew up in the burbs and spent a lot of my childhood in The City but never thought walking around the Village with a tour group could be so much fun.
Marie is a great wit and was full of fun facts and tidbits about the neighborhood on topics from architecture to historical lore to literary references to, of course, food. The tastings were great and well timed and the portions were just enough to get a nice sample of the range of ethnic food in the Village.
Overall, my wife and I are highly satisfied and will plan on another FoodTour activity in the future.

| We took this tour after reading about it in the Sunday NY Times. We enjoyed the tasting as well as the information we got about the neighborhood and its buildings, restaurants, and inhabitants. The pamphlet we got is a valuable resource giving information about the stores and restaurants in the area (along with a map.)
The only thing we weren't thrilled with was the fact that 2 of the people on the tour were from a new website about NYC--they had a camera and were constantly holding us up as they were introduced to store owners who they often interviewed or stopped to make plans to interview later. Later on, one camera person left and two more arrived. One of whom smoked the whole time, blowing smoke in our faces as we tasted. We finally asked Cindy to ask him not to smoke (considering that he hadn't paid to be on the tour)
Would have enjoyed it more without this group.
Cindy was fun, easy to talk to and made the tour enjoyable.
Will definitely head back to some of the restaurants and shops. |

| The Greenwich Village Food Tasting and Cultural Tour was great -- I'd had it recommended to me from a friend and would love to go again (hopefully soon...) The food tastings were excellent value, and the tour guide really made an effort to show us around the Village with enthusiasm and a sense of neighbourhood history.
Wholeheartedly recommend it -- and plan to go again! |

| The tour was so much fun and we ate some amazing food. Our tour guide Cindy was so upbeat and it seemed like all of the local vendors knew her extremely well. She really went out of her way to personalize everything.
The weather was rainy and miserable but the time flew with how much fun we had.
I'd recommend this tour to anyone! Local or tourist. |

| We LOVED the Greenwich Village tour! It was so much fun to check out the little neighborhood foods, restaurants & businesses that you might never otherwise see while in NYC. There are so many big, commercialized things to see in NYC, but the really great things are the ones that only the locals know about - the real jewels of the Big Apple. I would absolutely recommend this tour & would totally do it again myself. WELL WORTH IT! |

| The tour was really great. I have lived here in NY for almost 7 years and the tour was able to finally explain me the difference between a red and a green street name signs. Loved it… I got introduced to some awesome hidden bars and restaurants. Amazing food stores and great pizza… I also loved the historical facts and architecture explanations about the houses and the area. LOVED IT!!! |

| I was the only international visitor, and since I am Italian, my perspective when it comes to the food tasting we had was probably a bit different. But although I might be more interested in the way italian culture (and particularly food) has permeated through the NY lifestyle, the fact is that all the food we tasted was absolutely GREAT !
I do cook and bake myself, and I am particularly interested in pizza making. Honestly, NY style pizza can be just as good as what you find in Italy. I am always amazed by the sweetness of the simple tomato sauce and the freshness of the locally made mozzarella.
And of course, I must mention our guide Amy. She has been a great guide ! Thank you Amy, if you read this, for your very interesting comments and the very pleasant atmosphere you have created.
Whenever I have a chance, I will take some of the other tours and warmly recommend this one to all my friends.
