Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

marie was a n enthusiastic and knowledgable tour guide. the food was fantastic,and the tour was very interesting.i learned many new things about the village.

We enjoyed our tour guide Marie, she was knowledgeable, fun, and friendly. Her discription and information about the area was very interesting. All of the food was wonderful, with one exception, the new feature you have just added, the Cento. We felt the food there was not special, and had little flavor or appeal.

Tour quide was really good, enjoyed all the places we went, all the food, and the history, loved every bit of the tour. Great to have access to rest rooms also.

This was my second food tour and equally as good as the first(Greenwich/Soho). Tour guide was incredible, so knowlegable both on the area, New York in general and we felt he really knew the area. We went back to dinner at Palmo and shopped in several shops we'd been in an couple of nights later. We would stay in that area and go to those theaters on our next trip!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour.We both agree that the experience exceeded our expectations.Our guide was very congenial and informative and made all in the group feel welcomed. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone and look forward to taking other tours offered by FoodTours.

Information on both the history of the area and the food was interesting and generally presented in an amusing way although the jokes were a bit lame. Tastings were only average, the best being the oil tasting on Amy's bread. Yes, there was plenty to eat just not so tasty and I would certainly not go back to the places where I did get to taste the food. Felt a bit rushed at some places but did understand we were on a tight schedule. In all fairness, I was familiar with the area in terms of the kinds of restaurants and the general surroundings and have eaten at several over the years. Perhaps a tour to another area would have been more to my liking. The guide was as I mentioned entertaining if you like slap stick kinds of jokes. He was quite knowledgeable about the area and the food. Interesting stories that added dimension to the experience.

In spite of rainy weather, Heather, our guide provided us with a great experience. Her enthusiasm was just what was needed on a bad weather day. The combination of learning about the area and its architecture with the food tastings made the 3 hours fly by. It made all 5 of us want to return to some of the restaurants and food shops and also to go on one of the other food tours.

We enjoyed the tour very much. We would never had known about the small restaurants and shops in the area if we were just on our own. Our guide was good and the food was also. We frequent NYC about twice a year and will indeed go back and try a restaurant that was on the tour.

The tour was fun, informative, and the time really flew by. My criticism is that there may be more food than needed ( and I am a very good eater). A little more history of the district, perhaps a little more about architecture, and a little less food might be a better mix.
