We had a wonderful tour with Marie. The food was fabulous, the history was very interesting. I really enjoyed getting to talk to the chefs/ owners. I will be coming back in June and will probably do the tour again.

Don't Miss This Wonderful Journey Of The Village

My husband was suppose to join me and the last minute he was ill so my Aunt joined me instead. This tour is for adults of all ages. We both had a blast. The fabulous cannoli's from Rocco's, to sampling both "thin crust" at Joe's Pizza to the thick "Grandma's Pie" at Bleeker's was just wonderful. The guide we had was Barri. She was delightful and had a commanding knowledge of Greenwich Village and it's history. Learning how the term "86 it" came to be or what the terms "Off Broadway" and "Off Off Broadway " actually meant made this day trip so interesting. Did I mention the amazing bread at Amy's or the incredible Murray's Cheese Shop? We even went into a famous jazz and poetry stop called the Cornelia Street Cafe. We learned all about the development of Greenwich Village and the historical changes throughout the last one hundred or more years. This three hour journey was interesting every minute and was the highlight of my weekend in New York. Enjoy, Enjoy!!!!

This was such a great tour!! Informative and not to mention the great food tastings. The food samples were of ample size and we did not need lunch afterwards. The weather was beautiful. Do not hesitate to take this tour. The prices were great also!! Thanks so much!! The Village is wonderful!!

We had a group that interacted with each other and our guide was very enthusiastic about the "village". He provided little tidbits of history along the way that made the village come alive in our eyes. The food was good but the information and anticdotes were more memorable.

Good, but a little long

We enjoyed the tour, but it was a little too long, with too much repetitive information as we went along. It could probably be done in 2 hours or so, with less, but still interesting information.

My friend and I took the tour of Greenwich Village and were very impressed with everything! Our tour guide was wonderful; very friendly and knowledgable. The establishments we visited all were very welcoming to our group and the food we were given was varied, fresh, and delicious! We also received plentiful servings and by the end of the tour we were stuffed! We loved learning the history of the area and seeing the different parts of it. Really interested to learn about the "back houses" in Greenwich Village, and all other things that we learned and saw on the tour. I'd recommend this tour to everyone I know who plans on visiting New York.

The food tastings were plentiful and delicious. We came back and ate at one of recommended restarants in the Village later that evening! Our guide, Amy, gave us so much information about the people who llived and worked in the village through out the years as well as some fun and quirky facts about the place. I have already recommended it to some other friends!

Great way to spend a day.

Our food tour, led by Barri, was a wonderful experience. We were unfamiliar with the Greenwich Village area, and this tour showed us new reasons to want to revisit this spot. The tastings in the various restaurants and shops were all very good. We went on a Monday, so some of the restaurants that friends of our had visited were not open to us. All the more reason to return. Barri was a wonderfully informative guide. She is knowledgable, and gave a well rounded view of the history and background stories of this section of the city, and of the various restaurants and shops located here as well. We would do this tour again, as well as the others offered on the Foods of New York tours.

The Greenwich Village tour was a trip highlight. Not only were the restaurant tastings delicious, learning more about the village was interesting. Our tour guide, Kurt, was fun, informative and knowledgeable. Even though it rained during most of the tour, we had a great time.
