Enjoyed the cultural aspect of this tour as well as the wonderful new restaurant resources our guide provided. We live 30 miles north of the city and didn't know places to go in the village. Now we have a list of about a dozen places that we are planning on trying. Loved some of the food shops as well and great places for dessert after theatre. Our only criticism is the carbo loaded food tastings. Although they were all delicious, I would have prefered some that weren't all carbs!!! |

I thoroughly enjoyed the Greenwich Village Food Tasting and Cultural Tour. It was a nice blend of NYC history and food. I have lived in New York for several years but enjoyed finding out more about the city where I live. The restaurants that we sampled were amazing and our food was brought to us promptly. I could tell that the tour was very organized. The tour was three hours which was perfect. The first hour and a half was much better than the second part due to the streets being so crowded. I often found it hard to keep up (and often locate!) the group that I was with. It would be better if the tour could start earlier. The only downfall to the tour was some of the people on the tour (very rude!) and a cranky server at Rocco's that was unhappy that we were coming into the restaurant "during their busiest time". Other than that it was a positive experience and I do plan to go on other tour! |

I loved everything about this tour. My friends and I did it as something different to do in the City. Our tour guide gave non-stop history of the area and architecture, and the food was all great. And I really liked the spliting up of some food first, walking through the neighborhood, then more food at the end. Splitting it up like this is great. Not hungry afterwards for a few hours.
Warning though, some shops close early on Sunday so you can't always wait until the end of the tour to go back and buy stuff - make sure you check store closing times. |

Tours are just a good idea in general...especially walking tours, but what really made ours was the particularily good guide. |

We left this high energy tour, lead by Cindy, not only stuffed with yummy foodies, but stuffed with shopping and historical knowledge about a very concentrated area of Greenwich Village. Truly delightful. |

I like taking visitors on the tour to learn about the city. The food is an added bonus.
One suggestion would be a stop to have a glass of wine or a cup coffee mid why through the tour. |

Our group of 7 enjoyed the food tour of the Village immensely! Mike was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide, as well as a friendly and responsible citizen of the neighborhood. We live in Westchester and when acquaintances told us that they were coming to town, we searched for a tour (mostly for our sakes) that would not be the typical Statue of Liberty/Empire State building run. This fit the bill and then some! The history of the neighborhood coupled with the delicious food made it a successful and enjoyable activity for all. We will be able to know of some spots to return to in the city, and our guests got a glimpse of New York life. We can't wait to do another tour. One suggestion - perhaps some wine could be added to accompany the food tastings... a little something to 'wet the whistle'! Highly recommended activity!!! |
