Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

My 13-year old son, an aspiring chef, and I went on this tour in August. We had a great time and the food was awesome! Visiting the unique restaurants in Greenwich Village was delightful. There is so much character in this part of Manhattan. My son can't wait to do another one. The tour guide was very friendly, informative, and catered to our every need! You can tell he really enjoys his job. We loved the tour and it was the highlight of our trip. Do you have tours in Boston? If so, we would like to do that as well.

We took the tour with our 2 teenagers, who usually don't like organized tours. We all had a blast. Our guide, Burt, was very knowledgeable about the neighborhood as well as about food. So many stories about the area, good tips about cooking and dining out. The food samples were generous, yummy, and unique. It's a tour well worth taking!

Our guide, Marie, was excellent. She was freindly, enthusiastic and knowledgable. The tour itself was well-paced, interesting and tasty! We wanted to head straight back into the Village to sample more and investigate further, but sadly time was against us. I would recommend that a tourist should do this tour early in their trip and leave space in their intineray to follow-up. At the very least, leave the rest of the day free to stick around.

We took the Chelsea Market tour a year ago and went to the market for lunch and shopping on our first afternoon back in NYC. We are already planning where we will go in Greenwich Village on our next trip. All of the food tasings were delicious and fun. Even picky eaters will be very happy with the selections. Our group learned about Village history and saw historic landmarks and buildings, We sampled everything from olive oil to cannoli. Our guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. She was enthusiastic about not only the food, but the neighborhood. We will be confident enough to get off the beaten path and try small businesses in the Village.

Our guide was awesome - very informative, energetic and funny. She made everyone feel welcome and took into account the group's needs. The food was wonderful and the areas we visited were very interesting. We had the opportunity to see sites that were "off the beaten path" and learn of the history of the area. Overall, we were extremely pleased that we had booked the tour - it was the best tour of our visit to NYC.

This was an amazing tour and exceeded any expectations we had! Bert was our knowledgeable guide who kept us entertained and informed! We experienced a diversified group of restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed the selections served. It was worth every penny and thanks to Bert, we had a wonderful experience!

It was a GREAT tour, the food was delicious and tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. All and all a great experience for locals or out of towners.
