Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

Was a great "off the beaten path" thing to do-i am excited to go on the other tours

Bert was a great tour guide and we posted that on yelp as well. The tour was fun, very different - good to see restaurants as well as history about the area and buildings. It was great. My 20 year old enjoyed it was well as my husband and myself.

This was my second time to do this tour, and my group of friends loved it just as much as I did! The stops are all interesting and delicious. You will not go hungry!

We had never tried anything like this and didn't know quite what to expect. What a delightful experience it was! Our nephew, in NYC for the first time (as a high school graduation present), was utterly impressed, and very taken with Greenwich Village. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable not only about the foods we tasted but also about the history and architecture of the area. We enjoyed it so much that we recommended it to friends who live in NYC, as well as family who visited from Australia recently, and who were going to be in the city. We tasted everything; from Joe's pizza, to nibbles from an Italian restaurant, to a specialty olive oil shop, to a specialty cheese shop, to freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, and to freshly made New York style cheesecake. WELL DONE!

We enjoyed the tour, but it was a little too long, with too much repetitive information as we went along. It could probably be done in 2 hours or so, with less, but still interesting information.

Much to my surprise I learned a great deal of history about Greenwich Village and the restaurants we visited. All of the food was wonderful and I loved the entire Greenwich area. Our tour guide shared a wealth of knowledge with us and he was very entertaining. I even went back to the Greenwich area the next day to visit the shops and enjoy some Gelato ice cream. I highly recommend this tour.

This tour is the 4th I"ve taken with this company. As usual the food was fantastic and the guide made the tour even better. Curt was our guide and he was just wonderful. So enthusiastic, funny, knowledgeable,, on the spot quips and just so charming. We were a group of 16 and he got all of our names down within a matter of minutes. All of the tours have been so fun, but your guides really do make them stand out. Thanks again for a wonderful experience!

First impression was our group was met by Cirk (I believed he spelled his name with a C; I apologize if I'm wrong) and he called each of us in our group by our first name and remembered our names throughout the tour. He was well informed of ALL the restaurants, the area, the history, etc. A comedian, in his own way. The restaurants were of great variety and a friendly atmosphere in each of 'em. The samples were ample enough and oh so delicious. We all enjoyed the tour tremendously and I have already recommended it to several people to do the tour themselves. Thank you for a great 3 hour tour.

I was born and raised on the Upper East Side. I had never done anything like this before, but did it when some out of town friends were in town. It was the MOST fun I have ever had in the city! Food was amazing! Tour guide was fun, entertaining, and knowledgeable. I saw parts of the city I have never seen before and learned of their history. Ate such great food and have many new restaurants I will be frequenting. All Thanks to this FUN and DELICIOUS tour!

First let me say, Bert is the best tour guide! He was friendly, personable, knowledgable and entertaining! The food was amazing, learning about the history of Greenwich Village was interesting, and learning about the foods on the tour was very exciting! I learned so much about the foods that I eat, the nuances of olive oil and how to use it the correct way. I discovered places in the village that I never knew about, and a rich history that I am grateful to now know. My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful time, and we are both New Yorkers. In fact, we had to pay a visit to O&Co and purchase some of the delicious Basil Olive Oil we had tried near the beginning of our tour. Thank you Bert for a wonderful time!
