Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

I've lived in the village for a few years now and learned more about the places and history than I could have just from walking around. He really brought the neighborhood to life with humor and wit and showed us things I would have never noticed or even known about! Bert clearly was not just reading from a script but has personal experiences here. The tour was the perfect combination of history and food knowledge. The tour went smoothly, with no glitches and they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about the neighborhood and get to try a ridiculous amount of food!!

This tour was fantastic! We ate a good amount of fabulous food and learned the history behind the shops and the sights around the area. I arrived a little late, not knowing exactly where I was going. I showed up at Joe's then headed to the meeting spot where I found the group... they spotted me looking a bit lost (ha!). I will recommend this to anyone looking for a great way to sample some NYC fare and learn something about the area. The next time I'm in town, I'll be doing another tour! Well done!

Both tour guides were absolutely friendly, knowledgeable and funny. The tastings and locations they choose, were fantastic. The combination of tastings with history+sightseeing, is just great. Through this tour you get a small inside in the different areas of NY, their people , culture and architecture. I definitely will recommend this or one the other tours to all my friends. A next booking is for sure. I'm a regular visitor to one of the most exciting cities in the world. Thanks again for a wonderful time.

I was slightly nervous as I was travelling to New York on my own so booked this trip to do something interesting. Well.....I was not disappointed. The guide was fantastic, the food was even better (and I was stuffed full to the brim......and that is not always an easy task), everyone was in a happy mood and just had a whale of a time. Go, you will regret it if you dont. Marks out of 10........10.

This tour combines my love of learning about new places with my love of food. Have already been recommending it to my friends. Even though it was cold outside, the wonderful food warmed me up. Had a great time.

There was a good mix of interesting historical information, food tasting & walking that kept me interested the whole 3+ hours.

bari was fantastic. all the places we stopped at were fantastic, except for the soy and sake restaurant, didn't feel uniquely new york or west village and the food was only ok.

I was not pleased with this tour. I did the Chinatown tour last year and loved it. This tour was not interesting at all and the restaurants we visited were not at all welcoming. The food was average at best.
