Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

This is a fantastic tour! A great introduction to one of the most distinctive New York neighborhoods. After visiting the "big city", it's great to get an intimate look at how some of the people actually live. Our guide was extremely personable, and provided insights that are simply unavailable any other way. My husband and I took this same tour a few years ago, and although the neighborhood was the same, the tour was completely different. Our first tour was during a weekday which permitted greater access to the interior of more stores. However, our guide for the second tour seemed to know more of the residents, and they were able to provide a greater insite into the uniqueness of the area. Some of the stores were the same, some different, a reflection of the constantly evolving neighborhood and tour evaluations. All in all, we'd certainly do it again, and we look forward to taking additional tours through this organization.

My friend and I really enjoyed the tour as the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned many things about the area and its history and tasted some great food. I recommend this tour to everyone who wants a taste of old New York.

My 13 year old granddaughter and I very much enjoyed the food tour. She loved the history involved in touring the literary speakeasy along with all of the stories involved with the other buildings we saw. The food was enjoyable, but certainly secondary to everything that we learned.

My daughter and I enjoyed the walking tour very much. We both feel we'll come back to enjoy several of the restaurants over the years. I liked the historical information as well. We agreed that the guide, although she was certainly delightful and conscientious as well as informative, lacked a sparkle that we've enjoyed using a Big Onion Tour where the guide was a PhD student full of enthusiasm, exhibited a personal interest in the guests, and was delighted to share additional information as needed. But we'll definitely be back over the years to use your tour service. Thanks.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting NYC. The guide was great and the food was great as well. I especially liked the history aspect of the tour.

This was the best way to learn about a neighborhood. Our guide Kurt was not only very informative about the hidden treasures of the neighborhood but had great style in his presentation - factual and fun. The time flew by and the tastings were delicious and constant. I can't wait to do another neighborhood tour with this company. Highly recommended. Do it!

Barri, our tour guide, was terrific. She was enthusiastic and well informed. The tour was well organized and researched, we learned lots about the Village, and the tastings.... fabulous! I no longer will wander around The Village wondering where to shop, browse, eat, or go for a fun evening. My out-of-country guests were wow-ed.

Weather-wise, our day could not have been more miserable! We were a group of 5 and Cindy took us on her 'personal' tour of the village - it could not have been better. Two in our party were old-time New York area people. They have not stopped commenting on the tour to their friends; even making phone calls to 'pass it on'. My wife and I are now living in Mobile, Alabama and are a bit confounded by the enormity of the city. This tour really civilized the impression of NY for us. We will be sure to pass on to our friends who are planning a visit to be sure to book this 'must do' experience. And did I mention Cindy? What a sweetheart and full of wit and personality.
