Despite the heat it was interesting to see the local establishments and learn the history, but I thought there was too much food at some places, pizza for instance and not enough variety of tastes for the three hours. I would have preferred bite sized tastes delivered on a tray to avoid the difficulty of "taking over" restaurants. I was impressed with the knowledge and personality of our guide, Marie, and by the way, here is something we just noticed on our return. The "Carriage House", which is on the tour is the building used to house the contestants of The Next Food Network Star! |

I took the tour with my mother on a very hot day in July but it was worth the heat. I have been to Greenwich Village many times but never really experienced all the food eateries it had to offer. Our tour guide was personable and was able to provide interesting information about the history of the village as well as incredible details about the food offered in the village. I loved the Rissotto ballls as well as the appetizer at Lime. Milk & Cookies was delicious too.
I would definitely recommend this tour and I would love to do the Chelsey tour on my next visit.

The tour was great. We had plenty to eat - I actually couldn't finish all that was offered to us. Our tour guide was terrific and provided us with lots of interesting information on the tour. I highly recommed this. I can't wait to take another tour. |

I had so much fun! I cannot remember ever having felt that I realy got more than my money's worth, but this activity was worth every minute and every penny! I must say that my guide, Kurt from canada made the day! He was perfect and very knowledgeable. I ended up returning to the area 4 more times while in New York. I took my husband to dinner at Le Gigot, we returned with a party of 8 (his work associates) to eat at Palma, I purchased new clothes at a store called Rino, etc. I would definitely sign up for another one of your tours when next in New York.
Thank you! |

We found this a great introduction to Greenwich Village, its food and its history. And the guide was first class - knowledgeable and entertaining. We would thoroughly recommend it to anyone not familiar with the area. Or those who simply enjoy sampling the best food available.
Our only criticism would be a possible over emphasis on pizza! |

Michael was an informative guide. His soft spoken voice though was difficult to hear as we were outside and the traffic and construction noises were happening. It was interesting to meet some of the local business people and walk the neighborhood to see the architecture and gardens. We had a beautiful day weatherwise and it was a pleasant way to see a part of New York City that we had not visited before. |

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. A lot of the history of Greenwich Village is provided, along with information about the restaurants themselves and the food that's served. My only slight caveat is that there is quite a bit more time spent outside than one might expect on a restaurant tour, and on steamy summer days that might be something to keep in mind before signing up. |

We (2 friends) did the 3 hour walking tour of greenwich village. The weather was very hot and humid but there were plenty of opportunities to buy water and to stop at a bathroom. All ages were present on the leisurely tour . The foods sampled were excellent. The guide had some interesting historic notes about the area.
This was a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours wandering around the village (off the grid system). We would recommend to our fellow Irish tourists. |
