I did the Greenwich Village tour with two girlfriends. We all had lived in NYC at one point, but one of us had moved away and had come back for a visit. We thought this might be fun...and it FAR EXCEEDED our expectations! Our guide, Bert, was AMAZING!!! He was extremely knowledgable about the neighborhood, let us in on a bunch of neighborhood "secrets", and was hilarious to top it off! All the food we tasted was delicious - and I'm a foodie, so I'm not easily impressed. The amount of food was perfect too. Plenty to eat, but not to the point that you feel stuffed and uncomfortable. I highly, highly recommend this tour! |

As a veteran of NYC Food Tours, what can I say, except that it was fabulous, as always. It's a wonderful activity, particularly with friends who have never before taken a NYC food tour. The guides are GREAT (Cindy! Bert!), food samples are generous, information is enlightening - always a perfect way to spend a half-day. I've done all the tours, several times each, and a FOOD TOUR is top priority on all visits to NYC! |

My husband and I LOVED this tour! As two amateur "foodies" who really like to eat at some of the more quaint places when we vacation....this tour taught us a little about the Village and we returned later that night to have dinner at one of Bert's suggestions and had the best Italian food this side of Italy! Bert was a lot of fun and a great storyteller! We enjoyed all of our tastings and left feeling like a part of the neighborhood. Highly recommend this tour. I'm formulating my list of favorite New York restaurants and can't wait to take another neighborhood food tour to add some more to my list!!! |

This was about the 6th time I've brought overseas visitors to the Greenwich Village and Chelsea Markets tours and experienced great service from Todd and Amy and all of our tour guides at the Foods of New York! Unfortunately one of our guests fell ill at the beginning of this last tour and we all had to leave. The powers that be were kind enough to allow our guests to return the next day for a most enjoyable experience where they received a thorough history lesson of a large part of what makes New York tic from their tour guide, Dianna. I am brining more friends in a few weeks and I myself never tire of the tour! Thank you once again Foods of New York! |

This is an excellent tour. Took my twenty one year old daughter. Food tasting combined with Greenwich Village history. The merchants you visit on the tour are very gracious and are excited to have you visit their establishment. There is more than enough food provided to constitute a large lunch. Heather is energetic, friendly, polite, and considerate of her tour participants. I would definitely recommend this tour to other "foodies"!! |

Great tour guide! Friendly, funny, and knowledgeable!
Food was amazing. Really enjoyed the other recommendations to other restaurants in the area even if we didnt do tastings there. I kept going back to try them out myself! Fantastic experience. |

Our tour was held on a dreary NY day, but fortunately it did not affect our experience -- despite the rain, our tour guide Marie ensured we had a wonderful afternoon, filled with cultural highlights and of course, amazing food! It was a pleasure to listen to her stories and the food was beyond delicious. I definitely recommend this tour! |

Two couples went on this tour, ranging in age from 37 to 55 years old. We all simply loved it.
We tasted about 7 tastings, each one of them crazy delicious. Each stop, had a totally different ambiance and variety, which shows you how the choices in Greenwich are endless. Our tour guide Cindy, was an absolute doll. FULL of energy and information. Every corner we were, someone stopped to hug her and say hello. Some samplings: Joe's pizza - incredible cheese samples from Murrays' cheese- warm chocolate chip cookies- to die for cheesecake - the best mushroom risoto I've ever tasted in my entire life - A cheesey rice ball that was probably the most delicious thing I've ever had - fresh Italian Salami - Sweet & Savory olive oil tastings.....oh and secret hideaway on Cornelia street that made you feel like you were in an old French Farmhouse. Greenwich Food tour is really a must for someone that literally is in love with food and in love with the Village. The 3 hours just FLEW by. I seriously wish we would have also booked the Chelsa tour with Cindy as well, but we didn't have enough time. Cindy talked about the different building styles, and the time and era in which they were built. As you walked the streets, there is plenty of time to stop and take pictures of the darling brownstones. Cindy discussed other wonderful restaurants as you pass by, and suggests their specialty dish, as well as pointed out historical events and structures. Small enough group to hear what she was saying, and not feel crowded and felt like you were missing something like some large tours are. Suggestion: Take notes, cause you will for sure want to go back to some of the streets and places you visited. |

thoroughly enjoyed the tour , but our enjoyment was all the more enhanced by our tour guide; she was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, witty, and good company; kept us on time and on task with a laugh and a joke; felt like she was sharing "her" NYC/Greenwich Village with us! |
