Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

this tour was a great way to quickly get a grasp of this fascinating neighborhood. I never would have known where to go, nor been able to taste such a wide variety of different foods on my own. i especially appreciated the historical and cultural insights shared by the tour guide. On future trips to New York, i am more confident to further explore this neighborhood on my own.

I had a very enjoyable tour with Dave, he was very knowledgeable about the area & gave us great tips on where to go for an evening meal. The food was excellent and I enjoyed everything that I tried. There was definitely a lot & I was struggling with it all in the end. I went to Fish on Bleeker St for dinner one night & had the Oysters & Wine special - absolutely the best tip from the tour for me!

I have been to New York about a dozen time, but until now the only tour that I took was the Grayline tour. This tour was great. The tour leader, Barri, was very well informed and led the group at a good pace. There was plenty of to eat and lots of good information (culinary and historical ) . I highly recommend this tour. On my next trip to NYC I plan on taking another culinary tour through Zerve. It was a real deal for the money.

A very satisfying tour, that highlighted the uniqueness of many Village shops and restaurants. The tour concentrated on food places that are special to the Village. THIS IS WHY PEOPLE VISIT NEW YORK, AND WHY MANY LOVE TO LIVE THERE -- the wonderfully unique (and in some cases brilliant) aspects of the City, including the special food shops and restaurants that are unique to the Village. It isn't special that a visitor to Manhattan can go to a Subway, a TGIF, an Apple Store and a Bed, Bath & Beyond. Anybody can do that in a thousand different malls all over the USA. But it is special to discover unique shops and restaurants that are operated independently, with care and even love. This tour helped me do that in the Village. Good stuff. Great tour.

Thoroughy enjoyed learning more about the area and the particular places that we participated in. Would recommend it to any age that can be on their feet for 3 hrs. Look forward to taking more of your tours

The tour guide was really entertaining and knew plenty about the area and history. He also managed to learn the whole group's names within minutes! I really wish I'd done the tour at the beginning of my stay in New York as it would have been great to try some of ther places we visited for a full meal.

This 3 hour interlude made me feel like a New Yorker. Cindy was enthusiatic and fun. I got a great feel for the history of the area and the appreciation of restaurants. I appreciated all the recommendations but without the heavy "selling" that I have experienced on other such tours.

Our tour guide was an actress by night and comedian by day, The tour was fun and informative. I liked the fact that we took a tour of the historic district also.I would recommend this to everyone.I plan on taking the other tours on my next trip.
