A good experience for first time visitor to nyc

The walking food tour of Greenwich Village was fun, interesting, and insightful. It was a good introduction to the Greenwich Village area, giving insight to the history and character of the area. I enjoyed visiting the mom and pop type shops, sampling several different kinds of foods. It was nice to learn a little about the history of the area, as well as how things are today. Cindy, our tour guide, was funny and pleasant, as well as very knowledgeable about the area and local businesses. I would recommend this tour to anyone new to the Greenwich Village area of new york city.

The food wasn't overwhelming, but I enjoyed the tour especially the parts which weren't entirely food-related. The tour guide did a terrific job.

We had a wonderful guide, enthusiastic, funny, knowledgeful. I had a very nice time. It was not only a food tour, it helped us to figure out how the people have been living until now in this area.

To much Italian food, we espected more American way of tasting ... but good to know now where we can find fine restaurants in NYC to eat something else then the local hamburger, BBQ etc We suggest also to have a drink during the tour... In our tour we had 2 slices of pizza, we think there's more to taste ... after all it looks expensive ... The guide (Ed) was good (but he laughed a little bit to much with the Europeans ....) having a combination about explaination about the food and the city (neighbourhood) .... We 'll recommand it to people interested in food, NYC in an alternative way ....

I really enjoyed the Greenwich tour and food tasting. The choice of venues where all particuarly tasty ( although the cafe at the end with the cream horn thing wasn't all that, however this is probabaly down to my individual taste rather than the standard of the food). The tour content itself was really interesting, it proved to be a taste of new york history and current affairs which was brilliant and the guide spoke about this in a enthusiastic and lighthearted way. Brilliant

The selection of food stops were top notch, although the portions were very small. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. I would like to have done more walking.

I was unsure at first ,but I would recommend this to everyone! We met at our location and started promply at 1pm. We had a fabulous tour person....Micheal...and we tried so many different foods in the village. I have already recommended some of the restaurants to people. Also, I had no knowledge of the village and this tour was informational and delicious. You will taste some of the best pizza in New York. I did not have lunch before we started and we stopped at least 7 or more places and had tastings at almost every one. What a great tour ...even in the rain!!!!!

In spite of the constant downpour on our tour, this was the highlight of my NY trip! Cindy, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the area. It was refreshing to have a guide who is a local and really knows the history and culture of an area. Besides that, she was just plain fun! In addition to all the great food, she gave us a real personal tour and is very passionate about the Village and local shops and eateries.I will definitely take another tour with your company.

i expected more about the history and architecture. The leader was just okay. I felt that we gave the shop owners too much air time. We left after the third stop and took our own tour.
