This tour will help you sample the fine food and fun character of a New York City village. The guides are in no hurry to chase you away, but rather would love to have you stay and visit. What a charming experience for all ages. Do be sure to wear comfortable shoes and prepare for the weather. |

tour included enough sampling to provide a decent meal and was very tasty. our guide knew enough interesting info about each shop and the historic village to keep us well entertained. i would recommend this to anyone as long as you are able to do the walking. |

I would have liked to know a little bit more about the history of the village. The turbulent 1960's was just marginally touched on and that only after I asked about it. |

The Greenwich tour will always be one of my best memories of NYC. I've been to NYC many times but never thought to take a walking tour. I took this one because I wanted to learn about Greenwich Village from someone who really knew the area. The price was worth it and the description of the tour was just what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this tour to others. Cindy, our tour guide, was wonderful.....entertaining, knowledgeable, and fun. The 3 hour walking and stopping to eat pace was just right. Samples were excellent....fabulous pizza, cheeses, olives, bread, warm chocolate chip cookies, dumplings, etc. I was full when we finished. Cindy had some great stories to tell and knew the history and people of the area which made the tour all the more interesting and fun. There were even stops for bathroom breaks! The handy booklet we received at the beginning of the tour was very helpful as it provided descriptions of recommended restaurants and shops along the way with some handy coupons. Loved the fact that many of these restaurants had reasonable prices! |

The tour was excellent. The food was great but it also provided lots of great historical info about New York as well as a good overview of the neighborhood and recommendations on where to go and eat. It would be a shame to come to this amazing city and eat at places mediocre places like Applebees or TGI Friday's when there are so many fantastic options available. |

Barry was very informative and entertaining while feeding us wonderful FULL SIZED samples from selected eateries in Greenwich Village. We learned the history and architecture and culture in the area and saw many "off the beaten path" places that we would never have seen otherwise. It was a wonderful three hour experience. We returned to Greenwich village later in the week to revisit those wonderful cookies and brownies from Milk and Cookies. Also enjoyed the rice balls for the Italian deli again. You get a lot for the your money on this tour and we highly recommend this experience to anyone as it is a very intimate way to learn about Greenwich Village. |

My fiance and I really enjoyed the tour, the tastings, and our guides. We were so happy as locals to find so many great restaurant and cultural gems in our city that we can revisit. We were very impressed with the extensive knowledge that both our guides had. We did love the two pizzas we tried, but I do wish that we could've tried a different fare instead of two pizzas. Other than that the whole tour was AMAZING. |

I thought the tour was fine for the price. I was impressed with the architectural information provided by the guides. We had to stand in the street at many of the stops so I wouldn't recommend doing this in the rain or in winter.
We ate pizza at two diffferent establishments and neither were all that good so I felt as if the food part was uninteresting. It would seem there would be more specialties to taste.
However we did learn some lovely places to go back and explore in Grenwich and the tour provided me with a new feeling about the beauty and history of that area.
My strongest comment regarding the guide's patter is that she really focussed in on the price of each building or the rental cost. I felt it was an odd viewpoint to take and truly worth one mention but not six mentions. |
