Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

Wow what a great tour. Our tourguide gave us so much info about the food, restaurants and things to know. He even did standup comedy, so we had quit a few laughs. Strongly recommended.

Our group of college friends meets every November to spend a few days together. We always look for interesting things to do. This tour exceeded our expectations. Our guide was knowledgeable and full of information about the food, the neighborhood, and the food shops. I will recomend it to any traveler.

Our tour guide was Sephra. She was wonderful!!! Took my husband and another couple. We all enjoyed ourselves and plan on going on other tours. Even though it was my second time doing the same tour, I found it interesting...and still learned additional info that I hadn't learned previously. It's a nice way to discover new restaurants and different things to do. I have returned to many of the restaurants and businesses that were on the various tours. I can't understand why more business wouldn't jump at the opportunity to be a part of these.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to NY! We will definitely book another Foods of New York tour on our next trip! Our guide, Heather, was adorable and shared so much information with us about the history and culture of the Village! It was a wonderful and fun way to learn all about Greenwich Village from an "insider". Heather also had lots of suggestions for places to come back to on our own. She kept all of us interested and was never boring! The food was wonderful....it was all unique and tasty treats, and there was plenty of it! All of the places we visited were ready and waiting for us. I only wish we could have taken some of everything home with us! I would suggest that you not eat too much before you go because there was plenty to eat and no need for lunch afterward. As a tourist on your own, you could never experience all these fabulous restaurants, and learn so much about Greenwich Village... especially in just a few short hours! We loved it!!

The Greenwich food and cultural tour showed us the other side of NY that you usually don't see by yourself. That was our goal and the tour fullfilled it. We would recommend this tour to everyone! Kind regards, Susan Rijk

We all loved this tour. It was something we've been wanting to do for years and it was well worth it. Not only did we discover fantastic shops that we went back to for some take home delights/foodie souvenirs but we also ate enough that it was a full lunch. What I loved most was the extra info we discovered about 'The Village', who owns which house, where the famous people hang out, some history of New York - - couldn't beat it. It was drizzly at the start of the tour but that didn't damper our spirits or appetites - I say, Do It!

I highly recommend the Greenwich Village Food & Culture Tour to anyone visiting New York City. It was fabulous - both interesting and entertaining, and the food tastings were all delicious. The best part of the day was Cindy our tour leader - she was incredibly knowledgable and a lot of fun. She kept us motivated and in very good humour (it was unfortunately a cold and rainy day).

My son and I had a great time on the tour. Our guide, Cindy, was courteous, humorous and very fun to be with. Along with myself, there were two others who had food allergy concerns and Cindy was extremely accommodating. Learning about the city and the food at the same time is a great way to tour New York. I'd do it again in a heart beat.

Our tour guide, Barri, was so knowledgeble both about our food stops but the history of Greenwich Village. What a great time! Would recommend this to all!!!
