This tour was recommended by our NY friends and we were delighted that it met up to our expectations. We especially enjoyed learning some of the history of the area along with the food tastings. The cheese shop was very interesting...
I would recommend for anyone coming to the area. Gives you some ideas for places to re-visit and spend more time later. We went back to one of the places and bought some olive oils and balsamic f vinigar or presents to take back to Hawaii.

I fell in love with Greenwich Village, the food was great and restored my faith in food available in th US. The guide was very informative and it helped that he was a local and new people as we walked through the village. |

This was a great experience! Mike, our guide, really loved the neighborhood and the people who owned the restaurants and shops. He made the tour so much fun. The food was tasty, too. My only regret is that we didn't take the tour earlier in our NYC trip. I'll have to go back and have meals at the restaurants on another trip. |

As English visitors to New York we found this tour a real combination of food tasting and some history of the area.
The food tasting was excellent, lovely food - the best pizza I have ever eaten. The guide was good and knew lots of interesting facts about the area and all the owners of each food store took time to talk to us about their own shop.
The tour was varied and intersting - we tasted pizza, cookies, rice balls, bread, cheese and pastries - all really yummy!!
The 3 hours went so quickly and my daughter and I returned to some of the shops to spend more time and make purchases after the tour ended - we were only sorry that we didn't have enought time to eat at some of the restaurants shown to us on the tour.
I would recommend this tour and our tour guide was great with a good sense of humor - thanks |

Four female family members took this tour on a hot August day. It was very informative and much food (too much pizza) was consumed. Our guide (Barri) was NOT very energetic or fun, but it was a hot day so that may have been the reason. We were waiting much of the time standing in the hot sun. A shade would have been nice. Found out lots about Greenwich Village that was interesting. Several of the restaurants would have been nice to visit at leisure, but we were leaving the next day. I would recommend the tour for information about the Village and the local restaurants, but pick a more enthusiastic guide and cooler day. |

This was one of the best things we did while visiting New York! Our guide Barri was so knowledgeable. I believe we got a taste of some of the best food New York City has to offer! We thoroughly enjoyed learning all about Greenwich Village. It is truly charming! Next visit we will definitely go back to some of the restaurants in the Village and we'd like to try one of the other tours as well. |

We very much enjoyed our food tour of Greenwich Village. Am in NYC about 6 times a year but have never done any food tours before. Our tour guide, Cindy, was so interesting and fun, she knew so much about the neighborhood and really loved being a part of it. She was very solicitous of our comfort and needs as it was a hot day to walk around for three hours. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is able to walk for three hours. And I will be trying the other two food tours if I can be in NYC on the days available |
