We had a small group of 10 which was perfect for the Tour! Our Guide, Bert, was wonderful. So knowledgeable about the food and neighbourhood history... And funny! Would recommend this tour to anone who loves food with a little bit of history thrown in!

Great historical exposure to Greenwich Village

While you could experience all of these foods on your own with a simple googling of what's best in the village, you would not truly understand what you were eating or why it was so good. (Ie, how it was made). For my mother and I, (ages 72 and 44), the real winner was the tour through the historical district and all of the details of immigration and architecture. There was fun stuff: (hey! It's the building from 'Friends'"), and there was also true history come to life. My daughter, (12), was all about the food. Hands down favorite spot in bad weather will always be the wine bar , with its 20 minutes of relaxation of good food and drink. Bartender here even mixed up a non-alcoholic cocktail for my daughter. It may start off a little slow, but hang on because it gets interesting starting on Cornelia street. Its building to a big finish, just be patient. We were questioning the three plus hours for the first 30 minutes, but then it really whiz zed right by. You will see other tours tasting food with 30 plus people!!! This one sells out at 12 so you get a really intimate experience.

I loved this tour! It is a great way to see the West Village and try some great local food along the way! By the end of the tour we were very full but wanted to keep eating because the food was so great! Definitely get what you pay for and then some! Our tour guide Marie had lived in the neighborhood before and was very knowledge with fun facts about the area. I would definitely recommend this tour!

We highly recommend the Greenwich Village tour - great food, great history lesson, lots of fun. Our two teenage sons thought it was the best way to see New York City.

Curt was a fantastic and entertaining tour guide. We enjoyed every moment of our tour and look forward to doing another one the next time we visit. That was quite possibly the Most delicious meatball I've ever eaten in my life.

An incredible view into life in Greenwich Village

This tour had been strongly suggested by a friend in Winnipeg so we signed up and loved it!!!! We were 3 adults and one 16 year old and we all were thrilled to see a different side of New York, since we usually just do tons of shows. Our tour guide, Cindy, obviously loves the area, and her interactions with locals were just as entertaining as the food!! The choice of food experiences was varied and incredible but the stories of the area, architecture, history, and food really made us feel less like tourists and helped us develop more of a love of Greenwich Village!! Cudos for an amazing tour and tourguide!

This tour was the best I've been on. The leader (Sephra I think her name was) was hysterically funny but very informative. Not only were the choices of places to stop and taste wonderful, she gave a little history of the area and architecture. It was a wonderful tour and my friend and I just loved it. What a great way to start (or end since it was on the 31st) the year. We plan to go on all the other tours. We love these tours! Thank you.
