Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

For a different take on the sightseeing scene this tour is a great option. Get local history, fun facts, anecdotes and good food on a 3 hour walk around Greenwich Willage. The tour does not take you on too long a walk, anyone can easily make it, and the food is very diverse. A nice pause from the huste and bustle of Downtown, Times Square and the busy tourist sights.

We had such a great time on the tour, everything was well organised, we started on time, and Sephra was so lovely. It was like a wander around with friends rather than a route march like some tours. The food we got was a bonus! Everything was delicious, I never thought I'd hear people say that caulifower was their favourite. The directions to the tour were excellent, we found a lovely park with a fountain, and sat and people watched as we were a little early. It was hard to believe that we were so near Times square, where we were staying. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting NYC.

The guide was very knowledgeable in the history of the buildings and the area. However, she wasn't able to answer questions that fell outside of her schtick (ie recommendations of local wines to try). The food was delicious in all but the vegetarian Japanese restaurant. I dont mind veggie cuisine at all, but the bento box served fell quite flat in my mind. Aside from that we learned a lot and filled our bellies with a delicious blend of dishes!

2nd time on this tour, I did it last year with my husband and wanted to take my son, who is interested in food on it. He is 17 and really enjoyed it.

Informative, enthusiastic, erudite guide. Great choice and range of food choices. Very informative and entertaining walk through the Greenwich history, highlights, architecture, arts and culture.

Our guide, Heather, was full of enthusiasm and cheerfulness. She gave out interesting information...the food stops were good, except for the 2nd pizza place which was so-so.

Having in a single tour combing both the food/restaurant streets and the historic district was a good match. Saffra made the most of it, comparing with other tours we took she is a top notch guide.

I took my son, who is 11 years old, on this tour. We had Sephra as our tour guide. She was funny and knowledgable. We got the "VIP" treatment everywhere we went, and had some really amazing food! And we got an insider look into the neighbourhood. Both of us had a GREAT time.
