Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

The group leader was funny, vibrant and knew her history. The food was terrific. If the weather could have been slightly warmer it would have been a 100% recommended tour. Only God made it slightly uncomfortable. Otherwise. I would highly recommend this tour.

We so enjoyed our gastronomical and historical tour of the Village....I can't wait to go back with friends and share all my new haunts...our guide Seffra (sp ?) was awesome...

Our guide was very enthusiastic and super hyper. Just listening to him was entertaining. There was plenty of good food on the tour and interesting sampling. The walk was very easy and we did not cover too much distance on this tour. We mainly hovered around a few blocks. It was a fun way to spend a few hours. I would recommend it if you have time to spare.

To me the tour guide is the most important and we certainly had a winner. Greenwich village is a lovely experience and the wonderful shops and variety of food samples couldn't, have been better. My friends and I did this great tour as my daughter in law said it was a hi light of her trip to new York. Highly recommend this particular food tour to everyone wanting to experience the charm of Grenache village.

While I enjoyed the food tour, I truly wish that our guide, Barrie, was more interactive and informative. The upside is that the nibbles along the way were very good. After reading all of the reviews, I was totally stoked and ready to stroll, nibble and learn a bit of history. Since it was not our first trip to NYC, I really wanted to try something structured; something that someone else had planned out. Barrie did perk up a bit toward the end and we did get some interesting historical tidbits, but nobody in our group was able to engage her in any type of Q & A and that for me is what makes any tour a good tour! In terms of the food, you get plenty! I will probably try another food tour and see if that one is any better...In fairness, Barrie may have just had an off day? FYI: Bring a few hand wipes and stick a napkin or 2 in your pocket. Upon arrival you receive a bottle of water and a single napkin- not enough to manage the germs or the crumbs along the way.

I went on this tour with 2 other girls to celebrate our 26th birthdays. It was the perfect way to celebrate - with delicious foods from the basics to gourmet (and we were perfectly satisfied with the portions - no need for breakfast or lunch that day). Our tour guide, Sephrah, was the best! She gave us a great tour filled with loads of history of the area and NYC with interesting facts - all this with an enthusiastic upbeat personality that made everyone on the tour smile and have a fabulous time! I highly recommend this tour for everyone visiting NYC!

We took the Greenwich Village Food Tour on Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed it - despite the rain! Our tour guide, Marie, was wonderful - enthusiastic, engaging, well prepared, and informative. The foods that we sampled were delicious! We went back to O & Co. and bought lots of olive oil!! We very much recommend this tour! This was our second time and it did not disappoint!!

Our group of 6 ranged in age- 40's thru 60's. We were delighed with the tour. Many of our group toured different areas of New York before but all agreed this was by far the best tour we have been on. The food was great and our tour guide (Marie) was very well versed on her presentation of the area and the establishments we visited.The only thing we were disappointed in was that we didn't have enough time to shop at each location but needed to return after the tour to purchase the items we wanted to take back with us. Thanks for a great tour!!
