Great food learning experience and history lesson of the local area. Guide was very knowledgeable of the area and kept the group moving along answering questions people had. Excellent choices of restaurants and stores that we would have never visited on our own.
Thanks for the experience! |

My sister and I recently visited NYC. Out first activity of the trip was the Greenwich Village Food Tasting and Cultural Tour. It was fantastic!!! We were starving when we arrived at the meeting place and were hoping that the "tasting" would hold us over until dinner. Starting out with delicious pizza and ending with warm chocolate chip cookies and various taste treats in between.... we were more than delighted. In addition to being introduced to a number of fantastic restaurants, we walked around the village, learned about the history, and saw parts of the village that we never would have seen on our own. Our tour guide was very interesting and had the tour planned out so that there was just enough walking with opportunities to sit and relax for brief periods. I would highly recommend this trip to any foodie who is also interested in history, architecture and lots of interesting trivia! |

I thought this tour was very imformative and very much enjoyed the facts she presented and food samples. The only negative I have it was 1/2 hour too long, 2 1/2 hours would be a better time. |

The only negative of the experience was that the food samples, while being delicious' were small and to be eaten on the street. The twice we sat down even briefly were much more "civilised" |

I was surprised by the wide variety of food experiences, by the depth of the food and architectural information given, by the ease and fluidity of the tour. The three hours were packed with enrichment, culinary and otherwise. |

Decided to book after reading previous reviews. At first wasn't sure had done the right thing having stood around on just 1 street in Greenwich for over half an hour. However, we did all enjoy the tour, especially when we reached the landmark area when we received some information on the history of Greenwich, as well as the food! The chocolate chip cookies were delicious!
Would recommend it for foodies and to experience a "taste" of Greenwich life. |

For a different take on the sightseeing scene this tour is a great option. Get local history, fun facts, anecdotes and good food on a 3 hour walk around Greenwich Willage. The tour does not take you on too long a walk, anyone can easily make it, and the food is very diverse. A nice pause from the huste and bustle of Downtown, Times Square and the busy tourist sights. |
