Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

Took my girlfriend on the tour for her birthday. Couldn't ask for a nicer day or a better group of people. The guide, Sefra (sp?), was real knowledegable, witty, and gregarious. She was awesome!!! As for the food, still had a few of the same places I sampled on my first tour (as to be expected, they're Greenwich Village landmarks). The new places proved delicious. The chocolate chip cookie at milk and cookies was unreal, the corn risotto at the wine bar was out of this world, and as always, the cannoli at Roccos's was primo. Great time, can't wait to try some of the other tours!!

We couldn't have asked for a nicer day to do the tour in Greenwich Village, accompanined by our most delightfful tour guide, Sephra. We were told by friends how good this tour was, but it exceeded our expectations. Sephra was not only lovely, she was filled with knowledge of the neighborhood and shops. The food on this tour is amazing wanting you going back for more. In fact, we did. We went back and had dinner at Palma. Although we are not locals, we do frequent this area. Now when we return we will have a more intimate time as we now are familar with many shops and restuarants. Coming to this tour hungry is a must!!!! You are fed well!!! Enjoy!!!!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Barri, was knowledgeable and entertaining, the food was delicious, and the historic and cultural information imparted really enriched the experience. Definitely a highlight of our visit to NYC

The walking tour was enjoyed by our group very much - informative information on the Village and the variety of food tastings was great. The tour was well organized, guide very knowable and kept us moving but not pushed. A great way to see a part of the Village while enjoying enough food for the day.

Wonderful tour! Great way to experience a New York neighborhood. Food was great. Tour guide was great. Learned about restaurants, shops, and history. Fun to see the "Friends" building. Highly recommended.

One of the best things we did in NY. Loved learning about the village, great food, just enough history talk, casual, fun, entertaining. Our guide Heather was sweet and easygoing and kept the pace of the afternoon moving and lighthearted. We would definitely use this company again and explore a different part of the city next time we're in NY. The tour left us feeling like we were really starting to know the village and now would feel comfortable going back on our own and hitting a bunch of the cafes and stops we visited and learned about on the tour.Everthing we ate was delicious, and we were more than satisfied by tnd. Great experience!!

Although Foods of New York wasn't responsible, the weather couldn't have been better. A beautiful afternoon and our tour host, Heather, was such a delight. She was informative, energetic and fun. The foods sampled painted a good picture of the neighborhood. This is my second experience with Foods of New York and I'm looking forward to another tour.

We had a great time with our tour on Saturday 10/9. We had fun and it was informative too. The tastings were very good and plentiful! It was lunch and dinner for us that day! I look forward to seeing what other tours you work up. I had done one on a previous trip to the Lower Eastside and love it. It must have been with a different tour group. Great tour guide!

We enjoyed all of the food. We also enjoyed the background information for the area. Our guide (Zefra) was funny and interesting. I have a severe food allergy. You took it seriously and handled it before the tour. THANKS.
