Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

Great tour guide!

We enjoyed all of the food. We also enjoyed the background information for the area. Our guide (Zefra) was funny and interesting. I have a severe food allergy. You took it seriously and handled it before the tour. THANKS.

I mixed up the dates of our tour, showing up on Sunday when I had booked for Monday. The tour guides made room for us with little fuss--I really appreciated that. Tour guide Marie was excellent, with a surfeit of experience and knowledge to share. The food was tasty and varied. An excellent introduction to the village and to the city.

Be sure to come hungry to the Greenwich Village food tour. Although you get just a sampling at each venue, there are a lot of samples and you will be full! The restaurants/shops chosen for the tour are excellent and a good variety. Almost as important is the great cultural/architectural aspect of the tour. The guide was very well-informed about the history of the village. Lots of walking (of course) and well-paced stops for sammplig. Worth the price!

Our expectations of the tour were high as it had been recommended by some foodie friends and we weren't disappointed. The food samples were delicious and the information provided by our guide was always interesting. My husband, who isn't a foodie, really enjoyed the tour because of the local information and history imparted by the guide. I'd recommended the guide for anyone interested in food (obviously) but also for those interested in the history of Greenwich Village.

Had an excellent tour of Greenwich Village, excellent guide who gave much insight into the old/new facets of the area. Terrific food stops....pizza, cheese, cookies, Japanese....what could be better!!! Loved the info on the various small restaurants and the changes they had undergone.as well as background on the Cherry Lane Theatre. Wish we had more days in NYC to return for full meals at some of the restaurants. The pace of the tour was excellent and not tiring---what a nice benefit. Would highly recommend this tour!!

This tour is great for a first timer to New York or if you have been to the city several times. It gives you a good taste of several foods in different locations. The walk around the area is easy and interesting. I enjoyed the history of the area and of the food places. My guide Cindy was a hoot. She added a lot to the tour. Humor and fun tid-bits. I hope to do another one of their tours next time.

We were still raving about the tour and the food a week later. Not a complaint - but we were sort of curious - we didn't see any gelato in the area. The pizza was so good and I have been busy trying to track down think crust pizza - found the right tomatoes ok. I am looking forward to returning and taking another of your food tours. Next time will know where to eat in Greenwich Village.

I loved visiting all of the places I probably wouldn't have seen had we not taken this tour. Aside from the interesting and delicious food - the background info and history behind what we were seeing was fantastic. Our guide, Heather, was an absolute gem. She was a wealth of information and enthusiasm, and made this tour a highlight of our visit.

It was very interesting, the food was great and it provided a lot of options for dining out choices that otherwise may have been difficult to find. I enjoyed it very much.
