Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

We enjoyed our tour host ,Curt Upton. He was funny, friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the variety of the tour and the excellent variety of food.

A friend who took the tour recently recommended it. We have never bought tickets for anything ahead on the web -- but decided to this time. We were not dissappointed. The information we needed came to us by return email -- about where, when and what to expect. It was a rainy day but the tour took place as advertized. We arrived by subway and short walk. We waited in a coffee shop on the corner and had a pleasant visit with a local resident. Our Tour Guide, Kirk was super -- entertaining and knowledgeable about the area and the food! The food was varied and well-prepared. The walk was not difficult and we were out of the weather most of the time. The shop owners were friendly and hospitable. Definitely worth the price. Go Hungry! My friends and I truly enjoyed the tour despite the RAIN !! The food tastings were great. Kurt, our tour guide was informative and entertaining.. We highly recommend the tour.

This was my third Food Tasting Tour. I have taken one of my teenage granddaughters on each. It was a real treat for both of us. The food and the wealth of information about NYC was excellent. As one of my granddaughters put it, "I didn't know about all the history down here"!!!!!. I would definitely do another tour.

With a terrific guide like Kirk, taking us through the ins and outs of The Village on a lightly raining day, I couldn't imagine right then how to spend a few hours in a more inspiring way. Kirk deserves our KUDOS for his fluency, expressive charm and wealth of knowledge about historical, cultural and culinary facts all at once that flowed together quite naturally as he brought us through the various neighborhoods. He showed respect for the passersby, and a sense of disarming comraderie with store- and café owners, or what have you. And he quickly memorized our names at that! The program was well put together, holding our interest and keeping our mouths (as well as our digestive systems) active! Thanks, indeed a great way to learn about all the treasure troves to be "excavated" to each and everyone visiting or living in Manhattan! My friends and I will soon be back for more! Susanne Hedaya

I wished we had done this on the first day, we would have deffinatly spent more time in Greenwich if we had. The area is full of great food, little lane ways to explore and a real vibe of fun and socialising. The guide was great and gave the whole group a real insite into the area. A must do.....

Even the rain couldn't spoil the most wonderful tour with our guide Barri who was so well informed, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We can't wait to return to NYC to try another food tour and some of the recommended restaurants. It was the highlight of our trip.
