good walking exercise. The tastings were spaced out properly to avoid being too full or too hungry at any given time. The little gems of restaurants and anecdotes shared were very informative. The guide had good control of the group and she spoke loudly enough without being too loud. |

Our tour guide Heather took us on a wonderful sight-seeing food tour of the West Village. We had about 16 in our group and there was a total of 8 individual food stops. First up was a great slice of thin crust NY style pizza from 'Joe's Pizza'. Right out of the oven, it was the perfect start. Here's a few more food stops: The 'Centro Vinoteca' sat us down for a delicious portion of corn risotto, which I never had before. 'Murray's Cheese' took us upstairs for another sit-down. We sampled three kinds of cheeses from around the world, olives, and some thinly sliced Italian salami. Very nice variety with some extra portions. 'Milk and Cookie's' double chocolate cookie was straight out of the oven with melted chocolate all the way. A little later, I was one of the lucky ones to have two (gotta get some more of these) mini-cannolis from 'Rocco's Pastries'.
Heather has gave us great insight with her knowledge of the historical area and personal dining experiences in some of the local restaurants. In addition to the 8 stops we made, she talked about some other hot-spots. So, thanks to Heather, my self-tour continued (after the last-stop cannolis) with some great coffee from 'Amy's bread', followed by my first gelato from 'L'Art Del Gelato'. They let me mix the peach and grape flavors together. Wow, what a flavor discovery!
Our guide Heather was organized, articulate, and really knew her stuff! I understand she can sing and dance and I hope she makes it to Broadway one day. Lucky for us, our tour actually went past 3 hours. It was a truly great experience.
Thanks Heather.

What a wonderful experience this tour was!
My sister and I enjoyed it immensely.
We even recommended it to a couple that lives in New York and had never heard of it.
Pretty sure that they will be joining in on the fun, information, fantastic food and memories.
Our guide Sephora (sp?) was too amazing for words.
Hope everyone gets to spend some time with her. |

Really enjoyed the inside view of a special neighbourhood. Our guide Seprah was fantastic and really made our group feel welcome, was interesting, funny and exactly what we had hoped for in someone to show us the "real" New York. The shops/restaurants chosen to host the tour were all very accommodating and a great mix of local foods. Thank you for a good visit - it felt like we were visiting family. We (all four of us) thoroughly enjoyed this tour - in fact it was the highlight of our trip to New York City. The tour guide was funny and very informative, and the food samples were excellent. We only wish that we had taken the tour near the start of our holiday so that we had time to return to Greenwich Village during our short visit. |

Sephora made the stroll through through Greenwich Village entertaining as well as educational. It was fun visiting some of the home-owned businesses and tasting their cuisine. Along the way we learned about history of the Village.
Everyone in the group was made to feel welcome by our great guide, she was easy to listen to, and we enjoyed a wonderful three hours. Time well spent. |

We very much enjoyed the tour, in very large part due to the guide. She (Sephera sp?) was excellent. Intelligent and entertaining. Knew her stuff. Loved it a lot. Food stops were a good sampling and the back house @ Palma extremely beautiful and interesting. Food was a good variety and paced well. Tastings very generous. Top marks all around. We'll do other neighborhood tours on return visits and shop again at several of the Greenwich Village shops. Thanks for the wonderful experience. |

I would recommend this tour to anyone. Carrie Anne was everything you would want in a tour guide! She is very knowledgeable about the foods, restaurants, and especially the historical aspects of the Village. She made the tour interactive and was very quick to answer any questions anyone had. We were on a bus trip so we had to make the most of our time. We couldn't have spent a better 3 hours in New York. Thank you for providing this service and we WILL be taking another one next year. |

I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone that is looking to have a fun afternoon and see a whole new side of NYC. The food was amazing and the tour guide was well informed and did an excellent job of relating to the whole group. I am moving to the area in the next few months and can't wait for people to come visit and take the tour all over again. A must DO ! |
