Enjoyable

The guide was very good. The other attendees skewed a bit demographically into the "50-ish women" category, which is neither here nor there (just thought I'd mention it for those curious). I recommended this to my parents for their next NYC visit.

Food was great at all stops. Tour guide (Cindy) was friendly, enthusiastic, and very well-informed, delivering detailed info about the restaurants we visited, the food we ate, and the history of the neighborhoods we walked through. It takes about three hours and you won't need to eat lunch. I definitely would recommend this food tour; now that we've done this one, next time we go to NYC we will take one the other food tours offered by the same company.

I enjoyed the adventure of it all a learning about the history of the Village. I expected to be filled up more though and i thought it could have been done in a shorter amount of time.

I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide was Sephra (sp?) and she was so knowledgeable and had such a great sense of humor! it was timed perfectly so the food was ready for us when we arrived at each destination. I would love to do another of these tours the next time I travel to NY. BTW, this is not Mitch57, but a companion

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour

The history, architectural, and current day entertainment information that is shared on the tour is extremely interesting. Our guide is right, it's like taking a step back in time. It was nice that we were able to do some browsing in the shops where we stopped. In fact, after the tour, my group circled back to a few of those shops to further enjoy the foods they had to offer. We also took advantage of the evening Chef Tasting experience at Palma and really enjoyed that as well. The guide was very knowledgable and friendly and shared a lot of information with us. I would recommend this tour to anyone travelling to the city. It is a great way to get off the beaten path and support some of the local economy in the Village.

Perfect Way To Explore NYC!
Sat, Apr 2, 11   12:30 PM missyby Female 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
I have visited NYC more times than I can count. Normally I would just walk around and explore the city on my own but a friend recommended this tour so I had to give it a try. I was a bit worried that the tour was 3 hours and my mom who has back problems might not be able to walk for that long, but none of that was an issue. The tour is so well organized and they have built in the perfect number of sit down spots and rest breaks. Our tour guide Carrie Ann was delightful and extremely knowledgeable and friendly. By the end of the tour I felt like a true local who knew all the hot spots. I will definitely be doing the other tours the next time I visit!!

Go when the weather isn't awful.....

We are glad we went as the area is fascinating and we will go back on our own; the day we were booked for unfortunately was extremely cold, which we could handle, but the rain/melting snow/slush left our feet wet and after our feet and our hands went numb it was difficult to go the whole 3 hours, so we bailed at 2 and headed to a restaurant for spirits and food. The guide was darling, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable, and I would love to go again when the weather is more hospitable!

Best 3 hours you can spend

Our guide, Marie, shared her love and passion for Greenwich with the group. Her knowledge of the history, the families, the restaurants and the culture of Greenwich was impressive and contagious. The tour was well organized and thought out. The tastings were delicious and adequate. We were lucky enough to have a star siting when Vanessa Redgrave arrived at the stage door and was gracious enough to talk with us. It was a lovely and enjoyable 3 hours and we will book additional tours with this group on our next visit. Book early as they do sell out.

Loved the tour!!!! This was by far, my favorite thing to do while I was about in NYC!!! Kurt was excellent- funny, very very full of facts about the neighborhood. Only suggestion: he talked a bit to much about money, his friends and the super inflated cost of living in the neighborhood. Also, I wish there was more "food-food" and less sweets- it was hard to eat so much sugar when it was so hot. Do you guys do a historical walking food tour of ChinaTown??

My visit to New York City began with a walking tour of the Village led by the perfect guide, Cindy, who kept our small group informed, entertained and well fed. It was a great introduction to the neighborhood and way better, to me, than a whirlwind race through the city trying to view all of the standard tourist sights from the inside of a bus, in the same amount of time. I plan to try the other tasting tours on future visits, and maybe do this one again as well.
