Food Tour w/ added bonus of history & pop culture

We had a blast on this tour. This was our last day in New York. I highly recommend doing this towards the beginning of our trip to New York since the guildebook contains coupons (that never expire). We didn't have time to use any of the coupons since we essentially left town right after. The tour guide was great. She was full of information about the area's restaurants, bars, food, stores, history, and more. She was even able to confidently answer questions from the group about the area that weren't actually on her tour. (so the tour isn't just a practiced speech, she really knows the stuff) We learned about the restaurants and their food as well as some of the history of the area and New York overall. We even had a treat of learning about some pop culture and celebrity facts as well. (It wasn't TOO much that it was over bearing and became boring either) Everything was mingled around several tastings (maybe 15 or so??) so the tour didn't feel like it dragged on either. Generally I'm fairly fit, but I wasn't feeling that great that morning, so I was a bit concerned about how much walking there would be. There were plenty of opportunities to sit down and take a rest (at least 15 of them!) along the way. Definitely loved the Greenwich Village area and am already planning my next trip to New York. I will definitely do another food tour on my next trip (but for a different area). I'm eyeing the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District next which was sold out before we could sign up!!

What a great way to check out a new area! Raheem did an awesome job, and unlike other tours we went on during our NYC trip, he really knew his stuff. The food was great! Also, although it is a walking tour, he didn't drag us all over the place. They carefully chose a small area to focus on and gave us the best food in that area. Our only regret was that our plane left shortly after and we didn't have time to re-visit our tour stops or take one of the dinner recommendations!

The tour was great, very informative and the food was great. Being a local, it was also great to learn about new restaurants. I would highly reccommend this to both locals and tourists.

We loved the combination of food tasting and information about Greenwich Village. Our guide seemed to genuinely appreciate the area and wanted us to love it, too. We did!

Great way to explore NYC!

My family of four including two teenage boys greatly enjoyed our food and cultural tour of Greenwich Village. We live only 45 minutes outside of the city and thought we would try something different this time. It was fabulous! The food was delicious and we learned so much about this part of Manhattan that we didn't know (despite my decade living in the city-just a neighborhood away-during my single twenties). Our guide was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable and it was interesting for all of us. We highly recommend it and will definitely do it again to explore another part of the city.

What a fun tour! Our guide, Heather, she was the best we could have asked for. She is incredibly knowledgeable and posesses the best personality and attitude. It was such a pleasure to spen our Sunday afternoon with her. We are ready to take our next tour, on our next stop to NYC.

this food tour was awesome with some very good food tasting and knowledge. i first did my food tour in chicago and decided that i would always try to do a food tour wherever i travel to. you also learn about other eateries, history and facts about food and the city. I liked the fact that although I don't eat meat, I still got very good vegetarian options! I say do it!
