This was an excellent tour. Guide was knowledgeable and we spent 3 hours learning about the neighborhood, its heritage, architecture, and foods. Food samples provided during the tour gave attendees a good idea about each restaurant and eatery locale. I will definitely return to this neighborhood and visit its restaurants. |

Another great tour, but be aware that this was not a sit down tour. One of our group found that this tour was a bit rough for her. If you are up to standing for the majority of the tour don't miss it. I know Manhattan, and still learned things, I mean a lot! The stores/restaurants we visited will be revisited by myself and my friends. It's always great to learn about great places that you didn't know existed. This tour is 5 star, make sure to give it a try. |

My husband, teenage daughter and I had a great time on the tour with our guide Sephra. She was very knowledgable on NYC, it's history and food, and had a good sense of humor. All of the food was delicious and we would highly recommend taking the tour. |

This tour went beyond my expectations. After reading previous reviews, I was pretty certain our group, 2 adults and 6 teenagers, would enjoy the tour. But I wasnt prepared for the absolutely wonderful array of food we would try. Each stop had the most delectable treats you can imagine, from Italian to Cuban, cheeses, sweets, pizza, risotto and more. Our guide, Sephra, was fabulous, welcoming each of us to the area and treating us as though she's known us for years.
I cant say enough good things about this tour. I look forward to doing another the next time we're in NYC. Thank you Sephra, we had a blast!!! |

Best way to learn about a neighborhood

The best way to learn about a neighborhood is to walk the streets, meet the local merchants and eat the food. This was the second time I took this tour (2004 was the first time). This West End tour is my favorite, but I also enjoyed the Chelsea Market and Central Village/SOHO tours. |

Our group of 4 couples loved the tour. We come to NYC a lot but had never been in this part of the city. Loved discovering the food shops and new restaurants as well as hearing all of the history surrounding the area. Our tour guide was knowedgeable and gave us lots of good info about the area. We did come back after the tour and ate dinner at one of the restaurants we saw on the tour and it was great. All the food samples were good -- some better than others depending on what your tastes are. But there was enough of the samples to fill you up. We are looking forward to coming back and eating at some of the other restaurants mentioned on the tour as well as going to some of the off Broadway plays in the area. |

We had an awesome time! The food was delicious and so much fun. In hind sight it would have been helpful to have a menu of the items we so enjoyed. With so many new and enjoyable morsals, remembering them all was hard to do. Our daughter was 18 but, can be somewhat picky when it comes to food. She to did try most everything and was pleasantly surprised. She especially enjoyed the vegetarian dishes. |
