Good Combination of Information and Entertainment

Good balance of food types in the tastings. Tour guide was sensitive to the effect of the very hot weather on the group. Guide was knowledgeable about the architecture and history of the district and imparted interesting information. We would have preferred fewer references to the Food Network but enjoyed her humor. The length of the tour was just about right; could have been 1/2 hr shorter. Would have preferred fewer people (10 rather than 15).

My sister and I did not know much about the tour. It was recommended by a friend. We were both very surprised at how good the leader was as well as the food we tasted. We would both choose to do this again or attend one of your other tours. thank you for a great 3 hours.

I highly recommend this tour, as well as the Meatpacking and Central Greenwich Village/SoHo tours. We had Daryl for the Meatpacking tour (phenomenal) and we just had Kurt for the Greenwich Village tour (PHENOMENAL!!!) GO HUNGRY!!!!!

Great tour

This tour was given on a 95 degree day in the village. We were a little worried about that considering it was a 3 hour tour in the middle of the day! But, not once did we feel hot, drained etc...That is, we always looked for shade and were indoors for a good part of it and there was plenty of bottled water provided. The tour guide could not have been better. He was funny, knowledgeable and perfect for that job. His name was Kirk or Kurt and he is a rising comic. The samples were wonderful. I thought they were going to be kind of small and mediocre but the whole 16 person group were full. One of the samples was a nice sized lunch at an amazing vegetarian restaurant. Plenty of food and most of us could not finish our samples at all seven places. Easily the best tour I have ever been on. One last thing - I lived in New York for two years and would really not enjoy a "touristy" tour. This was anything but touristy...very entertaining.

The tour guide was fabulous. Lot of great information about the city, Greenwich village, and local food establishments. The food selections were also amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The Greenwich Village tour I recently took was great. I enjoyed all the food tastings and look forward to returning to some of the restaurants with friends on my next trip to NY. I liked the "insider" viewpoint from our tour guide, and really liked the emphasis on the historical, architectural, literary and cultural aspects. One addition that I would find interesting would be a music element in a neighbourhood so rich in musical history. Actually, a whole tour based on music (and food!) would be fantastic. I will recommend the tours, and return for more. Thanks.
