Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

I have been on this tour three times now - each time I learned something new and went to different places. THis trip the food was the best - especially the vegetarian sushi! Cindy was our guide (second time I have had her) and she is lively, entertaining, and very informative. She knows her stuff. I cant wait to try some of the other tours but honestly I wouldnt be opposed to doing this one again

We had a terrific tour. Our tour guide Cindy provided excellent commentary on the area and on the food stores. I have some food sensitivities (I had provided advance notice about these when registering for the tour) and was extremely pleased to be offered eating alternatives and options.

Our tour director, Cindy, was wonderful, witty, and warm. We learned so much while eating and walking through the village. Cindy was attentive to the special needs in our group. We can't wait to take another tour on a return visit.

Totally a great experience, meeting others with similar tastes, Greenwich is a jewel and this tour is a great overview for future eating destinations. The food was excellent and the establishments were so accomodating and welcoming. Our tour guide was down to earth and informative, having lived in Greenwich. My husband and I enjoyed this tour very much. My bohemian backround made it even more enjoyable! Yummmm!

This was my third time to participate in this tour. The first two times I loved it! This was my 27th trip to New York...I have also recommended the tour to people in my group that I bring in June. However, this time I was quite surprised with our tour guide. She seemed tired and unexcited about the tour. Maybe my first two experiences were so wonderful, it was just different. The lady I brought with me was not impressed either, so we left early...The food provided, however is excellent! I am sorry to be negative, but I thought you should know that this experience will cause me to not consider taking the tour again. Sorry...

Jersey local with two visitors from San Diego - great tour again w/ Marie at the helm. She is fantastic. Favorites: THE COOKIES and the cauliflower delight from Palma served by the chef himself in the farm house. WOW! We felt virtuous exercising and then getting rewarded pronto with something to eat. Is there any felicity superior to this? My first-time visitors to the City declared the tour was THE highlight of their trip. Many, many thanks again!

We had a great time and enjoyed this tour very much. Our tour guide was outstanding and did a great job making everyone feel comfortable and part of the group.

i went on the tour with my husband and two daughters...my one daughter had already attended the tour a year earlier....we all loved the tour guide Heather....she was very knowledgeable and very friendly...I cant say enough good things about her...she was great... I enjoyed the tour very much...we all did...the food was very tasty and quite enough...we were not hungry after the tour...we did some shopping after the tour and went to Commerce rest. for a drink after the tour...what a great place... I would recommend this tour to anyone...I already handed out fliers to people I work with and they are going to book the tour. Thank you Heather for a wonderful day....

This was a great tour, led by Carl who's enthusiasm and knowledge was impressive. He began by greeting everyone individually as they arrived, and then proceeded to go round the whole group introducing us all, completely accurately, with our names and where we were from. His delivery was strong and clear and engaging. He was a bit OTT some of the time, but that is sort of essential if you want to engage people. Everything was 'the best xxxx in town', but hey, we loved it. We didn't need lunch, because, we had it en route, with about 6 or 7 tasters of various sorts. It was perhaps a bit biased towards the Italians, but we met the owners/chefs themselves and some times felt rather privileged to be speaking with them in their own restaurant. Carl really never let up, and the tour was one of the highlights of our visit to Manhattan.
