We wanted to see more of NY than just the usual tourist spots and this tour was perfect. Heather, our guide, was very friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable, really the perfect guide for our tour. The food stops were well paced throughout the tour- the walking was not onerous at all and we did get to see what Greenwich Village was all about. Oh and the food was really really good. We will definitely take in one of the other food walking tours the next time we come to NY. And we will definitely be visiting some of those restaurants visited/mentioned the next time we are in NY. Can't wait!! |

Good food, though for Europeans it is not that very special as we are used to the variety of food within the countries in Europe. Not much of explanation, main focus is on food, food, food. |

We were a group of six 45ish ladies from northern Alberta, Canada who signed up for this tour and at the end of the day, every one of us has voted this our favorite activity while in NY. The tour was not only fun, exercise, great nibblies, but it was informative, historically enlightening and very educational. We learned not just about food, but about history of the area, the architecture of the area, and so much more I can't describe! The price was great, the tour guide was so knowledgable and accommodating. We will definitely do another one by this company on our next visit. FABULOUS!! Thank you!! |

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour as it not only gave me a literal taste of what Greenwich Village has to offer (very delicious - especially the pizza, cookie and new restaurant on the list!) but also an overall picture of the history, architecture and feel of the place. It was a great way to highlight all of the little spots you would never know on your own. I even walked back to a few of them later on and explored around the village a bit more. It was a wonderful way to really explore it like a local. |

We were a group of 2 couples from Canada. Our tour was really great, our guide was Marie and she was wonderful, very knowledgeable and fun! It helped a lot that our weather that day was perfect for touring, sunny and fresh. The tastings were delicious and the information on each location was historic and interesting, we learned and enjoyed ourselves too. |

When my sister mentioned she had booked us onto a 3 hr tasting tour in Greenwich village I was a bit dubious to say the least. We neither of us are good walkers - but when the day arrived I quickly realised we had nothing to fear! Cindy, our guide, quickly gauged the group and promised not to have us marching for hours without rest! It was a hot day and she met us with a big bottle of water each! No excuse for dehydrating along the way!
The tour was fascinating and as well as some wonderful 'tasting' we learnt a lot about the beautiful brownstone houses of GV, explored many of its quieter streets, and discovered some wonderful shops (which we returned to later to buy delicacies we'd spotted earlier!)
Cindy is an extraordinarily sweet person and totally 'made' the tour for us. Full of energy, wit and humour - and I hope she gets a chance to read this because I'm sure she'll die of embarrassment!
Cindy - thanks for a great morning! You won't remember us, but we were the two sisters from the UK who took the trip on Thurs 16th October - and tried to look very impressed at the 'old historical buildings' ... wow THAT old!??
You did a great job and next time we're in NYC we want to come on one of your tours again! |

I'm normally allergic to guided tours, I usually nver do it but this was a blast! Interesting, fun and great food. We learned alot both about where and what to eat but also about the buildings and the village. I highly recommend it. My part was me and mother in law but in the grup there was between 17-90 years of age. Everyone seemed happy. |

Barri, a young lady with very good knowledge of the area, led a very informative, but light and enjoyable tour of the Greenwich. Food tasting stops were all excellent, and mixed in with lots of intereresting observations on history, architecture etc. The time flew by, and I felt I knew the area quite well by the end.
No-one I have met since the tour, including some New York residents know the real meaning of 'off Broadway' and 'off off Broadway' - thanks Barri.
Highly recommended.
