Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

My wife and I arrived in NYC from Charlotte on Saturday. Our tour was Sunday morning and it was a great way to familiarize ourselves to New York as neither of us had been there. Our tour guide Heather was very friendly, managed time well at each location and took time with each of us individually during the tour. The walk was extensive but not tiring and was planned out well. It was nice to start out with New York pizza and the cookies were the best I've ever eaten. I highly recommend this food tour of the village for anyone but especially out-of towners who want to experience the comfort of New York cuisine and not the commercialized factory foods.

I took the Sunday tour with Marie as the guide. She did an amazing job of making the participants feel welcome and comfortable. The combination of history, food tasting, and an easy walking pace made the tour fun and filling! Greenwich Village as seen through the eyes of a local foodie" made my weekend adventure in NYC a real treat . I took my family and friends back to a few of the places Marie recommended, I would never have known about these places if I had not taken the tour! I can't wait to go back and take another one of tours.

Our tour guide was terrific, I think her name was Maria. I was surprised that the tour gave us so much history / background on Greenwich Village. Maria really knew "her stuff" and seemed to enjoy what she was doing. We were happy to taste a variety of foods, go in to several restaurants as well as be served outside, be able to sit down and find out info about other restaurants. We would hight recommend this tour!!!

Me and my daughter (18 years old) took part in the Greenwich Villige Food tour and were pleasantly surprised by the amount of information that was included about history and life in the Villige in addition to all the information about the food and the restaurants and shops. The tour was extremely interesting, very well organised, we had time with more tastings that I could have guessed and on timetable. I can highly recommend the tour to all kind of people and parties.

I loved everything about the tour. It was so much fun! Our tour guide was fantastic and gave us a glimpse into living in the village. I would highly recommend this tour and our guide. Our teenagers were also highly impressed. Mom scored points!!!!!

Really enjoyed the variety of food and all the interesting details about the area. I loved when we got to take a peek behind the scenes with Walter. Our guide was very knowledgable and fun! Thanks again for a wonderful tour. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Our tour guide, Sefra (I am uncertain as to correct spelling), was courteous, enthusiasic, charming and funny! You could tell she truly enjoyed her work. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more of the history of Greenwich Village and valuable information about food preparation. Carole Belles

The combination of food and history was a lot of fun. Our guide made us feel very comfortable. The tour was at a leisurely pace.

My husband and I came to NYC with our good friends who had never visited this wonderful place. I was in charge of putting together an itinerary for our trip and boy am I glad I choose Greenwich Village Tour! We were all so impressed with the amount of interesting information our guide had to share and the wonderful food we were served and the small size of the groups. Marie made us all feel welcomed and she spoke so we could all hear her and she just made the whole experience so much fun. We love Greenwich Village and look forward to exploring another neighborhood with this tour company next spring!

Although an expensive tour, our young leader was pleasant and knowledgable. We learned interesting facts about the area that we toured as well as enjoyed sampling the tastes of the neighborhood.
