Wonderful tour!! A perfect way to get the "feel" of Greenwich Village through its food, its unique stores, its architecture and a bit of history thrown in, too!

We really enjoyed our guide, Curt! He did a great job of making us all feel at home and he was able to engage each of the participants as the tour went along. The choice of restaurants we visited provided plenty of variety to keep us interested and give us a realistic "slice of life" as it goes in Greenwich Village. It was great to get a discount at O & Co. so we could ship gifts back home. All in all, we would highly recommend Foods of NY tours and thank you for the great value and great fun! PS -- We were stuffed at the end of our tour! :)

Lots of Fun, Great Sampler from the Neighbourhood

We really enjoyed our tour with our tour guide, Curt (or maybe Kurt). He was great fun and enthusiastic about his adopted city. We loved the various samples that we received and he told us a lot about the area. In fact, we went back to Le Gigot later in the week to have their "prix fix" lunch which was great. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to find out more about the Greenwich Village area and to anyone who likes good food!

highlight of our trip to NYC

This event was the highlight of our "mother and daughter" trip to NYC. It was an activity that BO"TH of us were very interested in! Food and history - what a combo...made even better by our excentric host, Michael! We will definitly return to "Food tours" for another tour when we visit New York again! Thank you so much!

Better last time

This is the second time I took this tour. Two of the samplings were eliminated, the gelato and the 2nd Sicilian pizza, which I had raved about to my family. Also, although it was delicious, the risotto followed eating the rice balls, which were too similar. Our guide, Heather was great, but two indoor sittings were eliminated and it was cold outside. We should have been having the warm cookies in side. A bit more time should be allowed inside Milk and Cookies to get a coffee or milk or other drink.

We are from Pennsylvania and have visited Manhattan many times but have never explored Greenwich Village. Our guide Heather was fantastic! Gave us lots of good information and was so patient with our many questions. The food was great ! We can't wait to come back to NY and return to some of the restaurants. Will recommend to all our friends!

We were so glad to have done this tour. Our tour leader was very knowledgeable and made sure we all had her attention. We were given little known facts about the village and were able to go inside most places to see the atmosphere of the restaurants and cozy underground bars that were very quaint. I would truly recommend this tour!
