Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

I had lived in Manhattan when I was single and now am showing the city to my teenagers in weekend trips. We found this on the internet and I thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. I learned more about The Village than I ever knew or could have possible have passed on. Even though I was concerned about walking around in February, the time passed quickly, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and the samplings were wonderful. I would highly reccommend this and will probably do it again with my husband!!!!

We totally enjoyed our Greenwich Village Tasting tour--a highlight of our recent NYC mini-vaca! Barrie, our guide, was excellent. I just wish we had done the tour earlier in our stay--definitely would have returned to have dinner in any one of several restaurants that were described.

Had a great time on the tour. Barri, our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, spending plenty of time explaining the history of the area, the merchants and the foods we encountered. (We were a little uncomfortable eating while she didn't get to eat along with us though.) Especially appreciated on the tour was her thoughtful information on the history of this neighborhood; how it has changed and how valuable it is the way it has been kept. So many good bargains to be had! Would've liked a little interaction with the purveyors.

The tour was very interesting and the food sampling was wonderful! Loved discovering new places!

My wife and I visit NYC frequently, but had not spent much time in this section of the Village. Our guide Sephrah, was very personable and informative and her familiarity with the shop and restaurant owners made us feel welcome. I would recommend this trip to even native New Yorkers.

This is without doubt one of the best tours we have taken in any city. Sephra, our tour guide, was informative and inclusive of all members of the group. Her insights and knowledge of the area and chefs gave us an insiders view of many of the restaurants and shops. The various proprietors were welcoming even as they were dealing with other paying customers to their establishments. The tour, three hours long, zipped by and ended much to soon. We would definitely do this tour or another similar one in NYC again. We highly recommend this tour for adults of all ages.

Everything was great. The food was fantastic. The tour guide was fantastic and definitly knew what she was talking about. i am a so-called "foodie" and know what good food is and let me tell you, this tour provides good food and a great insight on the history of Greenwich Village's finest eateries and other things you may not know about the Village even if you live in the area!

I have to say that this was the best thing i did throughout the whole time i was in New York. It was my first visit to the big city and i did many of things but,my boyfriend and I went on this tour our second day and both agree it was the best thing we did he entire time. Thank you so much Barry! I highly suggest this for any occation. A first date, a couple on the town looking for something new, anything.

Ticked all the boxes for me: good food, informed and engaging guide, pleasant group of people. We only had a short time in New York, but this was 3 hours well spent.

What a fun tour. Our tour guide, Cindy, seemed to know everything about the Village. The food was wonderful. We could have spent the whole day there if not for the weather. Every visitor to New York should take this tour!
