After taking the Chelsea Market tour last week, I tried the Grenwich tour.. it was also excellent. Mike was a great guide.. full of history... and very entertaining. The food samples were well spaced and very good... loved the cheese tasting! |

For a food tour I was expecting more food samples. However the tour of the village was informative and enjoyable. |

We really enjoyed the tour, it was an insight into the history of New York but with a twist. Along with information on the areas development, its inhabitants and the all time favourite topic 'real estate values' the blend of history with cuisine somehow make it more personal.
We went back to Greenwich Village on our last night and enjoyed a lovely meal in one of your recommended restaurants. A perfect end to our trip. |

Very interesting and enjoyable. The food tastings are delicious. Nice to see a part of New York we had not visited before. Will certainly do another walking tour next time. |

I took the Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour and my tour guide was Kurt.
Started off at Roccos Pastry Shop on Bleeker Street and wondered around the village stopping off at pizza shops, olive oil emporium, cheese and meat shops and a cookie cafe. Kurt was a really enthusiastic guide, very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and very enjoyable. THere were about 15 in the party - just about the right number.
He pointed out all places of interest, told us about all the different bars and restaurants - I found out more about the history of Greenwich Village in the three hour visit than if I had read every book I could have laid my hands on.
Well worth the money, more than enough to eat - no lunch required - and a great way to spend a morning. |

It was an excellent tour, from beginning to end...the guide was a very well informed local, and knew the people, & I mean really knew the people in the area, had good stories about them, their history, background, and knew their food! Michael was filled with knowledge and communicated in a way that caught your interest...the food was great and it was enough, not too much but you felt like you had eaten lots by the end and it was all so tasty! I have already and will continue to highly recommend this tour to everyone who goes to NY that I know of...keep it going and don't increase the price tooo much if you do...it was perfect! Thanks for good value for my money ...an all around excellent 3 hours spent in NY! |

This was a great tour to learn about the different restaurants in the area and some historical information. BUT as far as the tasting goes, it was very limited and there really wasn't any variety. |

Our tour guide was Michael Karp. He was great! He was very knowledgable about the area, including the architecture and the local lore. He had a great sense of humor and got along well with everyone in the group. I would definitely reccommend this tour to friends. |

A three-hour tour in the Village. We enjoyed it. Our, sometimes overenthousiastic, but never boring, guide showed us al lot of the past en present situation in the Village. Because he lived several years in the Village he was very familiar to the locals and that payed off during the tour.
The question of in the Village three-world famous pizza-joints are situated is of course questionable but the fun wasn't.
