| the tour is centered around food but is not as much about the food as it is the history of the area. pleasantly paced ; informed local guide made this an enjoyable tour. |
|
good but could have had a bit more history in it.

| My group DID enjoy the food tour very much. It was a very warm day and it would have been nice to have a bit of a rest 1/2 way through. Maybe to stop at one of the parks to eat one of the samplings or to go some where to have a bathroom break. 31/2 to 4 hours for some of the people on the tour was a bit to much without a break of any kind.
Although we did go back to one of the tasting restraurants on the tour several days later. It was not as good as the tasting and the shape of the pizza was not the same.
Perhaps the size ordered makes the difference. The baked ziti was terrible. The lasagne was wonderful.
We loved the history and wished a bit more could have been told of the neighborhoods.
Look forward to another tour next visit.
Keep up the good work !!!

| A lot of history, great food, wish we were able to sit down more and eat rather than standing. |

| Four friends from Ohio went on your tour of Greenwich Village. We liked our guide who was friendly and informative and we loved the food. We liked hearing the history of the area and about some of the people who live there and the prices they have to pay for rent or to purchase a space to live. After the tour, we all decided that if one of us wins the Ohio Lottery, that one will buy an apartment in Greenwich Village so we can all visit whenever we like and have the most fun and the best food ever. |

| We had a great guide(Friday 2 sep 10:30) Our group was Mom, me, wife, son and wife. We enjoyed the tour very much. We were concerned about the amount of walking and the time on feet, but it was ok. Highly recommend to others. There was a couple who have been on the tour before. |

| There were 4 of us on the tour, we are all well traveled......and we all agreed that this was one of the BEST excursions we had ever taken. We had plenty of opportunity to sit and rest, so don't be concerned about getting too tired. There was a 90 year old on the tour and she did just fine. Don't miss it!! Our only regret.....we didn't go the first day of our trip so we could go back and dine at some of the restaurants. |

| I am a native new yorker, and it was great to discover new places to try and sample the food. I have a bunch of places to try a complete meal at now. Our guide was very knowledgeable and seemed to be having fun too. This was a department team building activity for us. We will do the meatpacking district tour next. thanks! |

| I've taken this tour twice, the first time with Todd, an enthusiastic resident of Greenwich Village, and this last time with Barri (Berry?), who lives elsewhere but who seemed just as knowledgeable about the neighborhood and its history.
I really like the balance of "tour" and eating, and I also appreciate the variety (and balance) of foods that are offered.
This is a great value -- entertaining, informative, and tasty! |

| Our tour guide was very informative. It was great way to see the ins and outs of Greenwich Village that you would not see or notice if it weren't for this tour. Since we came back from NYC we have been recommending it to all of our friends and family. |

| This was a great tour with a wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable guide. We learnt lots about the history of the individual shops and neighbourhoods from her - both socially, culturally and from a historical standpoint. Lots of tidbits of information you would never know just walking around. She seemed to know all the shops we went to personally and the owners by name. The architecture all around was also good. We had plenty to eat - about seven very reasonable tastings and they were all really delicious. We definitely did not need lunch afterwards. This tour would be interesting to people of all ages who want to experience the true "ambience" of Greenwich Village. In fact, the age range was from 20's to 60's in our particular group and everyone seemed to appreciate the tour. As Canadians who were originally from England, we loved it.
It was a fabulous introduction to the "Villiage" and we want to go back there next time we come to New York and explore the neighbourhood more. We would recommend this tour highly to anyone wanting to have an interesting walking tour that also gets the taste buds going. We want to go on another tour or two with this same company next time we are in New York.
Very well organized and fantastic value considering the food we eat as well. The tour did n't in fact finish for 3.5 hours so the guide did not rush us around and we had an extra half an hour. You also get a very helpful handout of where you have been and what you have seen so you can explore again by yourself if you wish. In fact we did go back next day and had dinner at the "local" Italian Restaurant that was recommended and it was very good and extremely reasonably priced, considering we also had a bottle of nice wine.
Well done everyone and Barrie too - hope we got your name spelled right! |
