Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

I really enjoyed the entire tour and would recommend for anyone. There was really enough to eat, with a great variety of food. It was very interesting to hear details about many local resturants and surprising (but no less interesting) that there was a large chunk of time simply touring back streets to learn of architecture and history. This part of tour was well-timed because after eating the huge choc chip cookie at "Milk & Cookies" I needed a walk before tasting some more. Two not-so-great things (information only, do not let this stop you from taking the tour)...1) the coupons in the flyer are nothing to get excited about, and 2) the greatest disappointment was "Aphrodisia", the spice shop. The tasting there was really awesome, but, I was really looking forward to getting some spices. Five of the 7 I picked and wanted were empty bins, and the owner couldn't seem to care less. Also, I thought is was a little creepy that a cat was walking around the shop.

My best girlfriend turned 50 and wanted to celebrate in NYC. Our favorite thing to do on our NYC trip was the food tour. We had a great guide, excellent food and info, and we ended up going back the next day for more pizza, cheesecake and shopping. We would both highly recommend the tour.

I am a Long Islander, 28 miles from NYC. I have been to Greenwich Village many times but never knew how much I didn't know. This intimate tour of Greenwich Village was so enjoyable for me and my guest from the UK. The foods we tasted were excellant. I will frequent the shops and I now know some excellant restaurants to dine in that I hadn't known before. Thanks for a wonderful day! Joan from Long Island.

I very much enjoyed this tour and wished I did it earlier in the trip to make use of the knowledge and discount coupons throughout. Our tour guide was very personable and informative though perhaps had an unhealthy obsession with different types of napkins. It was very cold but we went from warm place to warm place, spending a larger proportion indoors to escape the weather. It worked well - I would recommend people not to be put off by the weather. The food was great (as expected) and not having to wait in any queues made it even better. It was also good to be able to see one of the backhouses which is not open to the public. A couple of us went back that evening to one of the tour locations for dinner that evening. If we had done the tour days earlier I could imagine us going back a few times as there are some wonderful restaurants.

Despite the freezing weather, Sephra kept our spirits warm with her humor and antidotes. The tour was great...well worth the money. We really liked the selection of restaurants and the variety of food tastings. I found a couple of places to which I want to come back. I plan on returning with friends later in the year and repeat the tour with them. They're gonna love it!

Cindy was a great tour guide. I had two children with me ages 11 and 15 they really enjoyed the tour and where never bored. I would recomend this tour to anyone and everyone. I will take the other food tours upon trips in the future.

A freezing cold day of fantastics tastes! Much enjoyed by two teenagers and their parents. Our tour group was down one due to an illness so my kids got to eat the extra shares at the different stops. What a great way to discover the Village!

I thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour of Greenwich Village. What a great way to learn about a neighborhood and the food samples were yummy, too. I definitely play to do it again, but not in the winter!

We had a fantastic time on this food and culture tour. The food was wonderful, and all from local places that made fresh food. All of the food vendors were welcoming and kind. I think the history and culture part of the tour was almost better than the food! It was so interesting. Our guide was funny, and full of local knowledge. My daughter is a vegetarian, and our guide made sure she had plenty to eat! Very thoughtful. I would highly recommend this tour. When we return to NYC, we'll take it again!
