Wow! We've been visiting NYC for ten years. I realize now just how much of the city we have missed. The walking/dining tour of Greenwich was outstanding. In a million years, we wouldn't have gone into a place called Milk & Cookies, nor would we have even known to look for it. What have we been missing all these years? There's a huge city out there beyond Macy's, the MTV store and Empire State building. Our group had a 13 year old girl...she loved the tour. We had a seventeen year old boy that would rather text than breathe...he loved it even more. My 55 year old cougar, AARP memeber, sister loved it, too. Take three hours out of your day on 5th Avenue (Tiffany's and H&M will still be there tomorrow) and take the 1 train to Greenwich for this walking tour. You will not be sorry. Our tour guide, Sephrah, was extraordinary. You should be so lucky as to get her for your guide. Funny, informative, thoughtful and just down right adorable. I'd take the same tour today with her and even visit the same spots again. On our tour we ate Pizza, tasted cheese (Murray's...Awesome), ate cauliflower at Palma (Sephrah's description of cutting vegetables will always stick with me--tingly just thinking of it), Oh Heck, I can't mention them all but it was great. Milk and Cookes....almost euphoric. I'll never eat another deli cookie again. Can't wait to use this same company again for another tour of a new neighborhood! Did I mention Sephrah was great and the food was awesome? |

I am from New Jersey and event though I go to the city alot, I thought this might be a waste of money for me because I do go into the city often.
The good thing about being a local, and not out of state, is that after the tour there are so many great restaurants and more sites to see that were mentioned on the tour that I will now be going too, which is the benefit of being a local. |

The walking tour around Greenwich Village took in 8 of the many wonderful places to eat and speciality food shops. It is a great way to get your bearings if you are a new visitor to the neighbourhood, learn a little history and get a real flavour for the place.
We would really recommend the tour as it's a great way to spend your time in the city and our guide was very knowledgeable about the people and places we visited.
It gave us a little inside information about places that we may not have found on our own and we returned too later in our trip, like the small but fabulous Home Restaurant on Cornelia Street. |

Loved this tour. Our guide, Bari was friendly and informative and made us all feel very welcome. The Village is such an interesting part of NYC and the chance to sample eight different dishes from local shops and restaurants was great. Our favourite was the Bento Box at Soy and Sake. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant for a meal, plus will visit a few of the other establishments as well. |

This was a tremendous way to enjoy a holiday weekend with the family--and a great way to see the city without getting caught up in the "Touristy crowds"!
Cindy the tour guide was "adorable". She was very friendly, knowledgable and passionate about the village. Her excitement really added to the value of the tour. The selections of stops along the way were perfectly time and the food tastings were of great variety. We can't wait to come back to the city and do another tour! |

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Greenwich Village. Our guide provided tons of information not only about the places we visited but also about the neighborhood in general. By the time it was over we felt like we really knew the area and couldn't wait to try many more of the places that were mentioned. It was wonderful! |
