I would have enjoyed it more if it didn't seem like we were always in the way of the restaurants and (quite honestly) the tour guide. We were on a low traffic street and were told repeatedly to move out of the way, not by passersby but by our tour guide. The restaurants seemed burdened by our presence and no one seemed happy to accommodate us. (except for the bar where we were able to sit and have wine. The bartender was very nice and accommodating.)
I know the tour is about food, but do we really need to hear about every detail of a meal that was eaten at a restaurant that's not even a stop on our tour? It's boring. It could also EASILY be done in two hours. There was a lot of standing around, trying to fill time until we could go to the next stop. It was entirely too long.
We did like learning about all of the history in Greenwich Village. Once the talk about the landmark district started it picked up a little a bit, which is surprising because that's where we ate the least.
The food was pretty good, and it was a lot. Plenty for lunch. I think maybe the other tours might be better, like the chelsea market, because it's more out of the way. This was not the best time my family has had in the city. I think there are other tours that would be more informative and more fun. |

This food tour was alot of fun. The food was very good. There were samples of food that you would eat normally to food that you probably would never try. But on this tour you try everything because it is so much fun. The walk is not terrible and you don't even know you walked so far because you are doing other things like eating, listening to what the tour person has to say and just having a good time. I surprised my husband for his birthday by doing this and he loved it. They even sang happy birthday to him at the milk and cookies place with his own cupcake. My children ages 24-girl, 21-boy and 16-girl had a great time and would definitely do it again. If you are looking for something to do that is alot of fun and different do this tour. |

The tour is 3.5 hours long, during which you tasted several small items from several restaurants. Unfortunately, you also stood around and listened to descriptions of restaurants you never entered. In all, you actually taste food from five establishments (all great), but this could happen in 2 hours or less. Too long and too little. |

Tastes of food from a number of local restaurants and food shops in Greenwich Village, nice way to learn about the history of GV. Lots of great restaurants to follow up with on our next visit. |

What a wonderful way to experience any city and their local food specialities!! Our guide, Cindy, was full of trivia that was so helpful and informative. We've been on many food tours and this one was one of the best! Greenwich Village is such a neat place to poke around and learn of it's very diverse history. We hope to book another Foods of New York tour the next time we're in town! |

What a pity we did this tour so close to the end of our stay in NY.
Saw a lot of places we wanted to stay longer than 10 mins. and had only time left to visit one good restaurant.
Our tourleader was a walking NY-database and brought her info with lots of enthusiasm.
It was fun, well organised and very tasty. The three hours flew by.
Only did not understand the visit to afrodisium, could have skipped that one for me.
Highly recommended. Looking forward to our next visit to NY to do the Chelsea Market / Meatpacking tour. |

We traveled from Tulsa, OK and only had 3 days in NYC. We totally enjoyed ourselves! The food was great, the history was informative and interesting, and the pictures we took of the historical architecture turned out to be amazing. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys good food and history! |

If you've done New York before and want something different, this is it! Gives you a great insight into Greenwich Village - the history as well as the shops and restaurants. The tour obviously depends on a good tour guide - if you have Kurt then you've struck lucky - he was extremely knowledgable, very entertaining and amusing -he made the time pass so quickly. The food also was more than we thought - even my 21 year old son who can eat for England didn't need any lunch afterwards! Definitely would recommend it. |
