Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

Maria was very knowledgable and besides eating great food, I learned a lot about the west village that i hadn't known before. I'm a New Yorker and I'd definitely recommend it to my friends (I already have)!

Cindy is a terrific guide and the tour was a perfect blend of fun and learning. It was well paced, fascinating and informative. Highly recommended for all ages.

This was the first thing I did on arriving in New York for the first time and what an introduction to the city. The tour was very relaxed and we were blessed with some lovely weather too. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny - occasionally including locals and passers by in her banter. Lots of history and tall tales of the area were inlcuded. The highlight of the tour has got to be the food. We started with the best pizza ever and ended with cookies and a cheese class. In between there was some very special food with the occasional glimpse into secluded gardens and gourmet kitchens. I chose this tour on a whim - it seemed a good antidote to travelling and jet lag and I was realy impressed. I should also add that the "samples" of food meant that I had to skip dinner that evening! If anyone is thinking of this, just do it! It's real value for money and was one of the true highlights of my trip to New York.

Can't wait to go back and do another tour. Not only do you get to sample delicious food, but you get some history and architecture lessons of the area. Our guide was the best. Droll, bright and very in tune with all of our needs. Sephra. Thank you.

Totally surpassed our expectations! Our tour guide was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the neighborhood and about all of the amazing food we got to sample. I have been recommending it to everyone I know and my husband and I can't wait to go back and try another tour! Totally worth the $, actually seemed like a bargain.

Showed me a part of New York I'd never seen or experienced. Restaurants were exceptional, many quite reasonably priced, and food specialty stores were authentic and filled with so much good food, it was hard to know where to start! Tour guide was friendly and personable, and seemed to vicariously enjoy our tastings as much as we did! Can't wait to head back down to the area to try out some more of her recommendations!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The three hours flew by. We were impressed with the relationship that obviously existed between the tour company and the shop owners. We learned so much about the neighborhood. Lots of wonderful food.

We took this tour about 5 years ago. The tour is about the same with new food tastings. This is a unique tour because it combines food and historical information very nicely. My only sort of negative comment is that I felt the original tour gave more historical information about Greenwich village and it covered both the west and central village areas a bit more. On the other hand, this tour gave us more diversity in food tastings.

Great tour ...but definately bring your appetite. Our tour guide gave great reccommendations and we actually went back to one of the places for dinner. Excellent
