Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

Barri was delightful. Everything was well-planned. We adhered to the schedule. The food samples were very good and the information conveyed to us by our guide was interesting and relevant. Thoroughly enjoyed by me and by my teen-aged nieces.

The food tour was great! Barri was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the history of the food and the areas we toured, I would highly recommend this for tourists who would like to know a bit more about NYC and its history. The food was great, we were all full by the end of the tour. All in all a great time.

Our guide Sefra was extremely knowledgeable, charming, efficient and organized. I could not have asked for a better guide. Everybody loved her personality. The range of food experiences we shared was amazing, not to mention that we learned so much about the Village and its shops and restaurants. Sefra even recommended the show at the Cherry Lane Theatre and we went later that evening and loved it. We would never have found this event on our own. We were a group of very happy and satisfied tourists, that 's for sure. I have already raved about this tour to several friends who are going to New York in the next few months. Thanks for this remarkable experience!

My girlfriend is from Staten Island and I am from Vancouver, Canada. We also had her brother, another New Yorker, and We all learned a lot. The Village is such a cool neighborhood and the food is fantastic.The variety of tastes and cultures really makes it uniquely New York. Our guide was humorous and made the tour a lot of fun. So happy we decided to go on this tour, was given lots of useful information about the village and its history. I would recommend doing this tour at the start of your break so you can go back to use the restaurants as they are all fab. I'm from New Jersey and took the tour with a friend visiting from Wisconsin. Despite a chilly and rainy October afternoon, we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Our tour guide was both entertaining and informative as she walked us around the village, guiding us from one food emporium to another. Sometimes we sampled the fare, other times just learned about the history of the establishment, the type of food they prepare, a little inside information about the proprietors, the building, etc. The rest of our tour group included a couple from Connecticut, and tourists from Germany and Australia. A very memorable and enjoyable afternoon.

The Village food tasting tour was a fantastic day trip for my boyfriend and I. We were looking for something fun and different to do together and this was the perfect experience. We walked to various eateries and heard witty facts about the neighborhood along the way. Our tour guide (Zefra, not sure of the spelling) was AMAZING! She was hysterical and extremely knowledgeable. We tasted food from various cultures and all were delicious! It was a wonderful experience and advise those looking for something fun to do to try this tour!

This is the 2nd Foods of New York tour that I have taken. We were shown the local area by a local and fellow food lover. It was a fantastic way to spend a few hours learning about where the locals go for a good meal. Would highly recommend it!

I did the Greenwich tour with my mother, aged 66. We had a great morning, even in the pouring rain. Our guide, Barri, was very knowledgeable, both about the food and restaurants of the area, and the history and architecture of this area of NY. The three hours flew by...and we certainly didn't need lunch afterwards! I would recommend this tour to all ages, and both local and international visitors who want to experience great food, and learn more about this wonderful area.
