Original Greenwich Village Food and Culture Tour

The Village food tasting tour was a fantastic day trip for my boyfriend and I. We were looking for something fun and different to do together and this was the perfect experience. We walked to various eateries and heard witty facts about the neighborhood along the way. Our tour guide (Zefra, not sure of the spelling) was AMAZING! She was hysterical and extremely knowledgeable. We tasted food from various cultures and all were delicious! It was a wonderful experience and advise those looking for something fun to do to try this tour!

This is the 2nd Foods of New York tour that I have taken. We were shown the local area by a local and fellow food lover. It was a fantastic way to spend a few hours learning about where the locals go for a good meal. Would highly recommend it!

I did the Greenwich tour with my mother, aged 66. We had a great morning, even in the pouring rain. Our guide, Barri, was very knowledgeable, both about the food and restaurants of the area, and the history and architecture of this area of NY. The three hours flew by...and we certainly didn't need lunch afterwards! I would recommend this tour to all ages, and both local and international visitors who want to experience great food, and learn more about this wonderful area.

Our tour leader Safra was worth her weight in the fantastic food we got to sample....she was entertaining, friendly and knowledgable in all aspects of the food and culture of the area.

exciting, interesting, well tasting

The Greenwich village food tasting tour was terrific. Our guide was very knowledgeable & enthusiastic & we tried out some really great foods. There was plenty to eat on the tour and we enjoyed the food so much we went back the following day to get some more ! We got to see more of the area than we would have seen on our own & it was a very pleasant change from the usual sights & shopping in New York.

Miserable weather could not dampen the enjoyment of this tour. Our tour guide was charming and full of information; she made us want to come back and eat in every place we visited. Even though we have walked these streets many times, she opened our eyes to sights we would have never seen on our own. We will do more tours like this!

I have been on this tour three times now - each time I learned something new and went to different places. THis trip the food was the best - especially the vegetarian sushi! Cindy was our guide (second time I have had her) and she is lively, entertaining, and very informative. She knows her stuff. I cant wait to try some of the other tours but honestly I wouldnt be opposed to doing this one again

We had a terrific tour. Our tour guide Cindy provided excellent commentary on the area and on the food stores. I have some food sensitivities (I had provided advance notice about these when registering for the tour) and was extremely pleased to be offered eating alternatives and options.
