| My friend and I had visited Greenwich Village before but felt we'd not got to the heart of the district before. The guide was very informative, friendly and relaxed - a real character in fact. The food we tasted along the way was very diverse and the shopkeepers very interested in explaining things to us. Sometimes on tours you really feel like a tourist, but this one was different and as well as the food, we gathered some very interesting architectural facts along the way. |

| I took this tour on a whim and was so glad that I did. I have been to New York many times before but have never explored the Greenwich Village area which is why I signed up for the tour. I was so glad that I did. Cindy (our guide) was fantastic. She was so knowledgable and friendly. All the employees in the different places we went into were happy to see her and it was very evident she has a great love for the area. i would recommend this tour to anyone going to New York. |

| I enjoyed the review not only for the tasting and exploration of restaurants but for the history of the region. I found the host well informed, funny, observant( in watching out for us and making sure everyone kept together and had the opportunity of tasting) and did not take himself too seriously.
For suggestions on how to improve:
1) I found the last eating place at a Kebab outlet out of place with the rest of the tour.
2) Perhaps make it shorter to 2 hours.
3) Include a meal - which would raise the cost though
Overall I would recommend it to food lovers. |

| The tour guide, a local man, had excellent knowledge of the area and its history and was very familiar with the locals, who chatted to us openly and didn't treat us like a 'tour group'. The food tasting was excellent, and the guide ensured that everything we tried was very fresh and requested our feedback regularly. I was very full by the end of the tour. It was such a shame that we did this on our last day and didn't have a chance to try out any of the recommended restaurants (for which we received money-off vouchers and offers).
The only problem is that there can be a fair amount of standing about while listening to the stories and sampling the food items and this can be quite tiring (and straining on the back!)
I'm definately going to look out for something like this on every trip I take now. |

| This tour definitely familiarizes you with Greenwich Village. We had never been to the Village previously. We left with a guide of restaurants and activities that will be helpful during our next trip to this area of the city. We were able to sample food at a number of recommended establishments -- most of the food was tasty. You have to come hungry and forget the diet (you'll consume mostly carbs). The tour leader was very chatty. I'm not sure how much 'fact' is in her dialog (she sounds like she's making things up on the fly) and she loves to talk about herself (I feel I got her full resume) and her husband. With all the chatter, I felt the tour was a bit on the long side (2 hours would have been an ample amount of time, given the locations that we visited). But the guide we received was very helpful. I'm sure we'll return to the Village. |

| There were four women in our group and each one of us loved the tour. The guide was funny, very informative, knowledgeable, and loved what he was doing. Anyway, he did a good job making us believe he loved his job. The food was delicious and the variety was interesting. The only drawback was we didn't have enough time in our personal schedule to go back and explore the places we saw on the tour. Allow yourself time to go back and visit some of the shops after the tour is over. |

| The Village is such a neat part of NYC - and this tour was a wonderful way to see it up close and personal. Our tour guide (whose name escape's me) was fantastic - he was a gentleman who was such an obvious local, knowing all the "gossip" of the town and made us feel like we were out for a walk with an old friend...the tour is a perfect combination of EXCELLENT food and culture. |

| We had a wonderful tour with a fantastic tour guide. I learned so much about the Village and found so many wonderful stores and restaurants to shop and eat at in the future - I can barely wait to go back! I'll be back in June and will take full advantage of my new knowledge of Greenwich Village while visiting. Thanks for offering this fantastic, interesting, and informative tour! |
