Fun tour with noshing

| We were able to get to the meeting place easily from the subway station, with good directions provided by Zerve. The tour guide welcomed us immediately, and put everyone into the mood to relax and have fun. We went from one place to another to try a bit of food, with portions being quite satisfying---not just a bite. The variety of foods was impressive. We had plenty of chances to sit down and eat during the 3 hours of touring, so did not get tired of standing. The guide gave a little historical and pop culture information as appropriate when we passed various areas, and had considerable restaurant information for future reference. We all enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone having a few days in NY. |

| This experience was one of the best we had on our sisters' trip to NYC. The food (nine different stops) was delicious and generously portioned. The people and places which create this neighborhood are so authentic and interesting. Our guide, Curt was well informed, thoughtful, and as cute as a button. His kind manner and genuine interest in all things, entertained us and made everyone in our group feel very welcomed and included. Our next trip to NYC, and another tour with this organization (hopefully with Curt) to a new neighborhood , can't come soon enough. We (heart) NY! |

| In a few short hours, this tour does something miraculous: it gives us Greenwich Village (if you'll pardon the pun) at a gut level. To the informed outsider, the Village can seem a bit intimidating, the ultimate insider's neighborhood that has been driving cultural evolution for generations.
Our guide, Kurt, didn't just show us around, he introduced us by name to restaurant owners, chefs, butchers and bakers. He took us right into their kitchens, dining rooms and back rooms. He was a great source of information, but his dry wit took things from informative to entertaining in a hurry.
Culture is all about food, and food is all about culture. Walking these streets, hearing the stories, seeing the people and tasting their food you walk away with an understanding of the diversities and constants that make this like no other. This is a place that can't be explained; it has to be felt, touched and tasted!
So now I'm not such an outsider - this tour helped me learn enough to know I want to learn more (and how to find it)! |

| This tour was recommended by our guide book and as this was an area I wanted to explore (and I love food) that this sounded like a good tour to try. We were not disappointed. Our guide Barri (not sure if this is how you spell it) was a mine of information on the area and the food. I would recommend the cookies from Milk and Cookies, and the vegetarian pork (!) we had for lunch. I think each tour stops at different locations but as there are many great restaurants in the area I don't think this matters. We had a lovely day, despite rain! |

| My daughter and I loved this tour it was the best tour we did while in New York. Our tour guide was very informative and friendly and the food was great. It was a good way to see Greenwich Village and learn about its history. I would thoroughly recommend this tour. |

| We had a delightful time on this tour. There was plenty of food, even for my two large teenage boys, and it was tasty and interesting. We did not want a dull dry history lesson and a food tasting tour fit the bill. Our guide was interesting and cheerful, and not boring. We stopped at eleven places to eat for samples of pizza, cheese, rice balls, chocolates, etc. It was a hot afternoon but it was not difficult with a lot of rest stops, We acytually gave some of the extra food to local workman and took home some salami It was great fun and next time in New York we will do another tour in a different part of yhe city. |

| The members of our group really enjoyed this tour. We appreciated the taste treats and the explanation of the history of the area. Our guide Dave was very informative and considerate of our needs on this very hot day. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in seeing the real New York |

| My husband and I both agreed that this was one of the highlights of our first visit to New York City. Our guide Marie was wonderful --- full of useful information about the area and a lot of fun, too. It was a super hot and humid day when we did our tour and Marie did everything she could to keep us relatively cool and in the shade as much as possible. I would recommend this tour to anyone and can't wait to go back and try the Chelsea tour. |
