We really enjoyed it and have already recommended it to a number of friends. The tour leader was just excellent - very knowledgeable and enthusiastic! The only suggestion we would make is to keep the numbers smaller - possibly 12-15. Our group was quite large and it was sometimes difficult visiting very small establishments.

Very enjoyable -- and wonderfully tasty. The tour guide was knowledgeable and engaging. He seemed to be having a great time showing off his neighborhood and made the tour a most pleasant experience for everyone.

Top rate! Combination of anthropology, sociology, ethnic foods, and history. Really helped to understand the neighborhood. Would recommend w/o reservations.

Really enjoyed it and went back to the area several times over the course of the next two weeks. Ate at a couple of the suggested restaurants and bought some coffee and sweets and a couple of the shops. Guide was great and seemed to be liked by the locals.

At first, when the group spent so much time in the restaurant area, we began to wonder if it was more an advertisement than a real walking tour. However, after we had 'snacked' our way around that section of the Village, we headed out into the residential areas and really enjoyed the architectural and historical information Andre, our guide, had to share. He was very good and established an excellent rapport with the group. And, it's true, you won't want lunch when you're done! We would definitely recommend this tour.

Our tour guide was terrible. He was BORING, difficult to hear, and lacked energy. We ended up leaving half way through it. We would have left sooner, but we kept hoping it would get better. More or less, we spent 1.5 hours on Bleeker Street, walking slowly from one restaurant/food store to another. The guide would stop us, stand in front of the menu, and then read from it. I felt ripped off and like I wasted 2 hours of my day. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this tour. It was a complete disappointment.
