Our tour of the "village" was great fun and very interesting. In comparison with crazy, busy Mid-Town (where we stayed), it was a very nice change of pace to small stores, peaceful surroundings, quiet and friendly people. The food was good too. Our tour guide Ed is a native New Yorker and was full of good stories and knowledge about the area. The only down side which had nothing to do with the tour was that we froze our butts off as it was a very cold, windy day in NY. I highly recommed this tour for all.

We enjoyed the tour and the food samples were excellent. Even the two of us who had lived in the Village learned a few things. Guide was friendly and did a good job keeping us going. One criticism was the long descriptions of restaurants that started to feel like commercials. Same group did the Chelsea Market tour last year. They were both good, but if we had to choose one it would definitely be Chelsea.

| Business calls me to New York on a regular basis. WHen possible, my wife accompanies me. Out side of my business duties, we normally see a few shows, have some wonderful meals and "never" leave the mid-town/theater district. On this trip I had a little extra time, so we followed up on a friend of ours, who recommended that we try the walking food tour of Greenwhich Village. Speaking for both of us...which is rare...this tour was a wonderful experience. Mike was not only fun, articulate and entertaining; he was incredably knowledgable and shared as much as his time allowed.
We would highly recommend this tour.

The tour was a great way to really experience the culture of the Greenwich Village area. Our tour guide, Maria, was knowledgable and enthusiastic about being able to show us one of her favorite places. She looked after our needs and was concerned about our safety. The culinary locations that we visited provided us with generous and freshly-made samples of their fare. The guide also pointed out historical buildings and the story behind them. She also gave us information about some of the other restaurants in the area and suggested we try them at a later date. It made us want to book a return trip so we could do just that. We came away with the feeling that we had a good idea of the lifestyle and culture of Greenwich Village, today and from the past.

We (a group of "girls") have been going to NY at Christmas since 1986 and were looking for something new this year when we found this tour - we were absolutely delighted with the tour. Cindy was one of the very best tour guides I have ever had - she was very knowledgeable and fun. Greenwich is a fascinating area and I had never thought about the interesting history of the area. We could never have covered the area we did and learned as much on our own. We felt like we were just visiting friends in some of the restaurants as Cindy was friends with all of the people on the tour and they greeted her very warmly. Also, the food was delicious!!! I will be recommending this tour to friends that will be in NY this month and telling them to ask for Cindy as their guide!!!!!!!!
